Men shouldn't have the right to abort but they should have the right not to chose to be the father and have no financial burden because of the woman's choice

It's her body so it's her choice to keep the baby or not but her choice of keeping the baby should not lock out a mans choice of being a father ..... sadly nothing can be done about the choice of not keeping the baby if man wanted to and woman did not

woman should not claim independence of choice then ask/force men to help them with that choice

when it comes to parents being forced to help financially both parents should be held accountable when and only when the child was planed and or when both parents agreed to keep the child the choice of being a father or not is to be chosen with in the same time span of pregnancy and the capability to abort safely.....

I'm open to having my mind changed Or improved on love to hear people's own opinions

"Her body, her choice" is fucking stupid. It takes two to make a child. A woman can abort, keep, or give the child up for adoption without the man's approval. That's just wrong. Men should have say in the process too. If he doesn't want to be a father, he should not be forced to. I'm in a situation like that now and I'm about to take the child support agency to court for it. I didn't want the child and I refuse to remain a slave any longer.

I believe as a father myself and I've struggled with all the double standards. That is if a man decides before the child is born he doesn't want a child but she still keeps it he is no longer liable to that child or mother. But if he at all stays in that child's life or with the mother and decides later he doesn't want to be a dad he should be liable for child support etc. But only in the case where he doesn't want to be involved in the child's life. If he like myself is an active father in any way and wants to be around and with his children as much as possible the custody agreement in any circumstance should result in no support. But in any case at all the support should NEVER be more than 10 percent of a person's wage.

Look, we don't have the right to make a decision. I have a mother, a wife, a sister, several aunts, and two grandmothers like most men out there. I grew up around female perspectives, I don't know firsthand how scary pregnancy and childbirth is outside of the prospect of having a child that you didn't ask for but feel obligated to, but I can take an educated guess if I exercise the tiniest shred of empathy.

I ask for two things: First, as a the potential father, I want to be asked for input on the decision. I want the chance to talk to you honestly and candidly about how I feel. I want you to do the same with me, if you are pregnant with my kid. I can have the power to influence the decision, even if I don't have the ability to make the decision or dictate anything. I don't want it to be assumed what I want. Hey, maybe we can figure something out together, that's what I'm offering.

To other men, I would suggest that you learn about your own power to give or not give consent. You don't have to have sex outside of committed relationships where plans for potential pregnancies have already been determined, discussed, and mapped out. Can either party to a relationship truly give consent without understanding what you are giving consent to? You need to start on the basis of a long term relationship with a history of honesty and verifiable trust if you are going to have a safe sexual relationship. Without that, you are gambling. The only exception I can envision is if you've had yourself sterilized.

Just a conversation opener:

In many religions, abortion is illegal (unless the mother is under risk), meaning she has to carry her baby to term, and then either raise them up by herself, with her partner or put them up for adoption, assuming she is pious enough to follow the religion and will not lie or endanger herself to induce a miscarriage or to be in a state where abortion is necessary.

Here is the question: Should the man have any rights to abortion if the woman doesn't? and if yes, why?

My answer is this: Do not have sex if you can't raise the child you helped make.
