This is not what the men's rights are fighting for. How is that better than the system in place right now where women get default custody? It should be default 50/50 custody. That is what I think they are hoping for.

If you care more about your own body image than protecting the rights of innocent children then you're not going to get the warmest welcome on a men's sub. This isn't Men's Lib where everyone is encouraged to show that they're stunning and brave by wearing a sarong and crying about the wage gap.

What you went through was terrible. 13 year olds can't give informed consent to that surgery. You can make a difference by sharing your experience and saving others from suffering the way you did. If you like the results of your surgery then you're lucky and you can forget about it if you want. But it shouldn't be forced on anyone. Kids can't consent to sex. Genital mutilation is worse and it needs to stop. The fact that you're familiar with Inactivism implies that you agree.

I fully support your right to believe what you like, I firmly believe that circumcision should only be done for medical purposes before the age of 18, then that individual can chose to do what they want to their body.

I think any other means than medical are either common misconceptions (cleaner) or cultural, non of which are a good enough reason to cut part of a child's gentiles unless strictly necessary.

first of all, a dorsal slit isn't circumcision. you aren't nearly as sexually crippled as circumcised men are, and that's what (american) intactivism focuses on.

Because movements are made of of several people who might have differing opinions, the following will be a generalisation of what seems to be the most widespread kind of opinion towards circumcision in the movement.

Intactivism doesn't want to purge any and all instances of circumcision ever. It is about consent and medical necessity. If you are over 18 and WANT TO get circumcised, good for you, go ahead. If you are not 18, but for some reason it is absolutely necessary to circumcise you, intactivism won't judge your parents for it. If for one of these reasons you got circumcised, we won't stand in a circle around you and laugh at you, it is a normal procedure like getting a piercing (first reason) or getting a gangrenous toe removed after diabetes took over. If you were pressured into it or it was simply done to you, it's still not your fault and you are not a weirdo or disgusting or anything else for it - it was your parents and/or broader society around you who shouldn't have done it without asking your informed consent first.

The reasons intactivists oppose circumcision is because many times it is done to children and infants who don't know what they are in for and cannot consent, combined with the utter unnecessity or the procedure in most cases - neither of which makes the person circumcised worth any less.

I have a dorsal slit at age 13, I still remember it. I am Filipino. I despise Intactivism because it made me feel horrible about myself and made me fall into quite the rabbit hole. Intactivism isn't a redpill, it was a blackpill.

How did it make you feel horrible about yourself? Just to be clear, no one is attacking the victims of newborn circumcision. And to address your case, it sounds like you had a medical case, though you don't say specifically.
