Hated this exact mentality at my previous gym... They had half the building dedicated to women's only courses and equipment. No such thing for men. Women constantly ogling and groping men during workouts, staff response to the whole thing: "suck it up".

My cousin in-law started a men-only gym, but they were heavily pressured to allow women to sign up. In the end he decided to close down instead..

The prevalence of this double standard is mind boggling, especially when it's accompanied by justification like: " well men actually like being objectified or groped "...

If you're going to have a women only area, surely you should have a men only area too right? Or I mean we could stop separating people based on their reproductive organs to begin with.

Personally this would not be a hill for me to die on, but I do detest the hypocrisy. However, if I was only allowed access to 80% of the gym, I would expect that to be reflected in pricing.

And you may think I am joking, but on some US university campuses, accommodation is available specifically for “people of colour” if they so wish.

I don't think being 'ogled' is a big deal, & if women had a shed of fondness for men they'd like it too but if that's the hill they choose to die on; then it's worth mentioning that an unequal law is bad regardless of who is more likely to do it.

Although this is indeed gender discrimination, I am not inclined to prescribe how a private establishment should run its business. One can simply choose not to continue patronising the establishment if they are not satisfied in any way.

Nonetheless, to be competitive and viable, the fee I pay better be relative to the square footage, equipment and amenities allowable to me.

I don't see the problem with making men-only areas of gyms too. Or do men not want/need areas where they feel safe from women harassing or ogling them?

It's ridiculous. Men are viewed only based on the fact that we are physically stronger. Because of that we are suddenly predators? Shit has to end. I want a better world for my sons

The main thing as Marc ACngelluci RIP says is you need a person to then base a case off. Feminists show their hypocriscy by saying hes taking away womens rights? WTF?? No he is making previously made programmes taht discriminate based on sex now NOT dsiscrimiante based on sex... i.e. creating equality... however, once your used to privelge equality feels like opression right?

So here is how you handle it.

I am interseted in faireness and equality, its not a zero sum gain and I do not wish to take anything from women, just a fair approach. I would have just a problem if this was mens only etc. Womens only areas in gyms are absolutely fine. I see no issue in that. There is also demand for it. And for everyhing women only you dont need a men only one too, maybe the demand is not there (of course it could be, im just saying just because we have a womens programme in general for something doesnt mean a mens one is always needed).

However, if Im paying a membership price, then you cant charge me same price as a woman who has more facilities purely due to my sex. Reduce my membership or im suing.

If its government funded or uni funded etc. then the same amount of money they used for the womens section needs to be spent on men in some way (doesnt have to be mens only gym as manybe thats not what men want but could be broga or something else)

And this is a result of feminsm. This is the kind of stuff ordinarly I wouldnt give a damn about. However since feminism is hell bent on doing this e.g. suing mens clubs, and creating massive funding disparaties (e.g. 94% of sex specific scholarships are for women only despite women being vast majority of university ... we also see this in womens only counselling and all sorts of service all thorugh uni for women, despite men more suicide etc... again no issue with women only counselling, however, then you need an equivalant for men and certainly you cannot justify women only when men in this case are more affected, the same with the sex scholarships etc.

Tie a bow in your hair before workouts, claim to identify as a woman. Go into the woman's section and workout. Take your phone with you to the women's workout room. If staff approaches you let them know, and hit record. If they say this is women's only let them know you are trans-gendered, and question if they are discriminating against trans people which is a serious crime. Sue their ass, get rich, problem solved.
