The 'bring our girls back home' campaign from 2016, what is never really told is that before this happened they first targeted boys. These boys weren't kidnapped, they couldn't return home as they were dead.

The hashtag tals about 200 ish girls being kidnapped or killed

The body coubt of the boys was over 40 thousand.

The hashtag never even mentioned it

Not sure if this qualifies as the media, but the UN clearly does this in their reports on gender inequality.

You could probably look up any terrorists attack. They generally say something to the effect of "31 people killed, including 9 women"

I'm sure you can find hundreds of them.
