No. We're men's rights activists. We believe in equality for all, unlike the feminists who actually wield power. We concentrate on men's rights, but we support equal rights for women and everyone else.

We don't complain because feminists do nothing for men. Feminism is a movement for women, and we don't expect feminists to do anything for men.

We complain because feminist politicians and feminist lobby groups like NOW actively oppose equal rights for men.

For example, NOW has consistently and successfully campaigned against equal child custody for men in Family Court decisions. There are many other examples. Someone will probably list them for you.

Unlike feminist subreddits, we won't censor or ban you as long as you remain civil and refrain from abusing us. You're free to disagree with us as much as you like, as long as you don't spam us.

Nope.

Feminism claims to be about equality for everyone and claims that there's no need for a men's movement because feminism (allegedly) addresses the root cause of both men's and women's issues.

We don't make such a grand claim. Indeed many MRAs would say that the women's movement did at least some good and necessary things in the past. We don't claim to be fixing everyone's issues and we don't claim that "gynocentrism hurts women too."

We don't claim to have a monopoly on gender equality activism.

An MRA is someone who does men's rights activism. An MRA can also be a women's rights activist, but when they are doing women's right things the better description is women's rights activist.

In any case, MRAs have been trying to get fathers equal custody of their kids for decades. Kids having more time with dad will benefit women by giving them more options in their career etc.

MRAs generally oppose gender quotas. Gender quotas undermine women who have expertise in their field by making people think they got their job through a quota.

MRAs oppose gender stereotypes that see women as weak and vulnerable and push for better recognition of women's power.

MRAs oppose the disempowering narrative women are victims of the patriarchy. We should not be telling young women that the world is against them and they are unlikely to make it. That's not empowering.

MRAs value female MRAs and see them as important leaders in the movement. Many of the most prominent MRAs are women. This models the opposite of the gender stereotype of powerful men, weak women.

Where are you seeing mras claiming to have a monopoly on equality? Because I'm only seeing people say that it's a possible approach towards equality, not the only one and definitely not that no one else is allowed to either.

Equality.

Feminism treats women like children and enforces it via law. It assumes women have no self agency by blaming a mythical patriarchy (in the US) for all her life’s failures.

For example: When a woman isn’t listened to in a business meeting she doesn’t have to think she has nothing of value to contribute, she doesn’t have to improve herself to compete, she doesn’t even have to look around and see all the men that no one is listening to either. All she has to do is blame the mythical patriarchy.

MRA’s bring equality in the law, and society. We treat women like adults. We think women should be held to the same standards as men, and women should be held as accountable as men. We don’t just blame men for all the worlds problems and we don’t put women on a pedestal of victim hood.

If feminism was about equality then feminism would have no issue with what we talk about. However feminism is not about equality, it’s about making women feel like their victims so that people keep donating money to feminist organizations.

The struggles we identify are negatively impacting the last three generations of boys. Sexism in the education system: where boys are systematically driven from the education system through downgrading. Sexual repression of men, forcing them to sit cross legged while women take up two seats. Men forced into financial servitude through family courts because men must provide for women. Alienating fathers from children because women are better parents... all sound like things a feminist should get behind right?

Not today. Today it’s about driving the mythical patriarchy into girls heads (US) and making sure they donate to those organizations for the next six decades.

the simple fact that women don't need more benefits! this is from the same perspective as all lives matter. think of a house that i burning. you call the firefighters and they say"all houses matter" and start pouring water at the house next door. this is symbolism. the bruning house is males and the house that is getting shot by water is females who have so many rights and keep getting more
