Many of the people who are being accused of sexual harassment or sexual assault have admitted to their innapropriate behavior. "False accusers destroys everything" is about the worst possible take on this issue. Sexual harassment in the gaming industry IS a real issue. False accusations are also an issue, but it's possible to acknowledge both without dismissing either.

Yeah this is nuts, while I believe there are actually many cases of sexual harassment that need to be followed up through the proper channels (social media and media is not it), there are also many cases where allegations were made, then when evidence was presented, the accuser backpedaled quietly and the issue was swept under the rug.

Cases like angry Joe are indicative of this, in particular where circumstances were entirely fabricated to paint him as a serial sexual harasser, then were silently walked back and defended via "I never said he actually did X (just heavily and directly implied it)".

These people face no repercussions for making false accusations, while the accused are permanently damaged by this.

It also reduces the legitimacy of actual cases that were brought up now, much like with the metoo situation.

The only solution to a false accusation is a defamation lawsuit
