Hello. For disclosure's sake, my interest is partly practical and partly academic. Practical for obvious reasons since it's a good way to judge behavior.

I was wondering if a woman going up to and initiating conversation with a man, with the intent of being in a relationship with that man was a good sign or a bad sign. It being restricted to one man who catches her eye.

I ask because it can be seen two ways in my mind. Firstly, this action can be seen as a woman wanting a man and being fairly proactive in doing so, maybe even going outside her comfort zone and not being so picky about what she wants from a guy (since she took over one job usually given to the man). Something the manosphere crowd would like since it shows agency on her part.

On the other hand it could be a slut/attention whore tell by exhibiting sexually aggressive behavior or putting herself in a position to be validated.

My aforementioned academic reason for asking this came from me watching a show with my niece (some cartoon she likes) where a female character was doing this. Now it was presented as hopeless romanticism on her part and meant to be humorous but it occurred to me that it could go both ways, and potentially teach her poor behavior.

No doubt that today, with most women it is probably the latter but I should also think they would be going from alpha to alpha with this approach whereas a quality girl could employ such a strategy sparingly.

I realize I am rambling so I will stop here
