I've been lurking around on this forum for about a couple months now and I have made a couple observations in college. I honestly would love to know some of you guys better just because being RP at my university leaves me in the minority.

My college is plagued by feminism and women in the feminist student union. Many girls here do not know how to be feminine, cut their hair short, are overweight/don't take care of their appearance and think that becoming strong, independent women is the way to a man's heart. Or some (but not all) are in Greek life and are loud, obnoxious, have tons of beta orbiters and aren't exactly graceful.

RP has been a huge wake up call and here are some things that I've been doing to be as feminine/graceful as possible. I'd love some guidance/advice.

  1. A lot of girls at my uni post articles on Facebook about guys and other stuff from Elite Daily. Honestly, I think it's trashy and I don't really use Facebook at all. I think it's okay to have an FB but it's honestly pretty pointless if you're a girl because if you are attractive you run the risk of having a ton of beta orbiters and maybe even coming off as an attention whore since girls gets hundreds of likes on their pics.

  2. I wear makeup (but keep it natural) and try to wear heels as much as possible. I've also gotten highlights in my hair and I get it done professionally. I've also invested in a curling iron (bought it for $20) to give me voluminous hair. I bought a pair of wedges which I wear in the spring/summer. Does this come off as high maintenance? I also have gotten rid of some of my wardrobe. I went through a hipster phase but now I now I've changed that and feminized it a bit by wearing a ton of maxi dresses with prints and cute sundresses.

  3. It's been hard meeting guys on campus because the main form of socialization takes place at frat houses. I'm not looking for a hookup so I haven't been to a frat party in over a year. As a result, I have been dating online for a while but I'm still struggling to find guys in my age range who want an LTR. How old should I go? I dated a 26 year old for a while and it was heading in the LTR direction until he told me he got a job offer and was moving else where. Right now I'm giving myself an online dating break just because I need one.

  4. I've become more involved on campus and I'm pretty active in a lot of clubs but most of the guys in the clubs (art gallery stuff, lit magazine) I'm in are gay. In fact, half of the guys who attend my college are gay. Obviously, I'm not using this as an excuse but I've been trying to branch out more because I need to.

  5. I've become more interested in soccer. The other day I was wearing a Bayern Munich jersey and it attracted quite a bit of attention where a guy came up to me in class and asked about it. I guess liking soccer helps? Haha.

Also, I've been volunteering at a maternity clinic because I like volunteering and I have been learning a lot about things like the different stages of pregnancy and I have been taking care of babies etc. It is run by women though and no men really volunteer there. It's a great learning experience and has helped bring out my femininity.
