Hi, high schooler here, I’m a junior. In my english class we were assigned to argue to the class a problem or thing in society we want changed, after thinking it over a lot I’ve decided to pick the topic of how men seem to be treated like they don’t matter. Some of things i will be covering in my paper is, how men are told to “man up”, only men are draft, being told not to share our feelings. in school many boys have trouble sitting still and being quiet(possible due to testosterone) instead of teachers and educators trying to fix this problem they tell boys to shut up, reinforcing we shouldn’t share our feelings or whats on our mind.

I will also be talking about how in dangerous situation like if something goes bump in the night a man is expected to go check it out while the wife stays safely in bed. When the titanic sunk “women and children first” was enforced. I will briefly reference high rates of death in the workplace, in wars and high suicide rates. I will NOT be in any way shape or form bashing women or talking down to them, women have and continue to suffer to a multitude of different problems all over the world. If you guys could give me testimonials or statistics or other things i could put in my paper it would be gladly appreciated!
