It doesn't really matter what studies say about these issues. Nobody cares. Teachers are mostly women and above criticism - unless they do something that hurts girls.

I'm a male teacher and I take it upon me to see my boys succeed, because they need the support the most. Boys are always ignored and left to defend for themselves, it's sad.

I graduated high school in 1978, I would say boys and girls were fairly even in scores back then, and the number of male to female teachers was also fairly even, IMHO (No science) the more female teachers we got in school, the worse boys did. Did the teachers favour girls, my daughters say they did, they recall several incidents were boys were disruptive in class and received suspensions while the girls would simply receive 'a talking to'.

Same thing happens in corporate culture too, women managers have low standards of work for their female subordinates and high for male subordinates. Even men managers favour women.
