Told my mom about how Asia Agrento (an accuser) raped a boy she said:

Her: "So she slept with a minor?"

Me: "No, she raped him"

"well what's rape"

"Same thing you classify as rape of women"

"Well did he have an erection?"

"How is that relevant"

"because if he did he liked it and wanted to have sex"

SMH I'm so pissed

[–]lostapwbm 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"because if he did he liked it and wanted to have sex"

"If her pussy got wet, it wasn't rape."

That defense would go over like a sulfur-infused fart in a crowded elevator.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

LMFAO agreed, It was all I took not to get pissed the fuck off and shout at her. In the end I just explained calmly dn showed some sources, but still

[–]UnarmedIntestine 18 points19 points20 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why this sub is laughed at lol.

“‘Thousands of men are losing due process. I’m worried about this country,’ the disgraced Hollywood mogul said after two of his accusers confronted him in court.”

I agree with this statement, but I’d like to know the context and details on why he said this.

[–]Lethn 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah this seems a bit like him sifting for sympathy, I think the guy deserves his day in court like anyone and the way everybody handled the cases was a joke. The fact is though, even if what he did wasn't rape he was still very much a weirdo and a creep. A typical hollywood executive type that took advantage of others and it seems there are loads of male feminist and lefty men that are like this, no offence to anyone here obviously but you know what I mean.

It's so fucking obvious though that this was nothing more than a witch hunt and there were just as many women who were happy to go along with his couch casting routine than those who weren't so really I consider the women in this situation to be a bunch of frauds themselves.

We're at the point now where this guy is getting 23 years for being creepy to women with no one around him saying anything and going along with it and female paedophiles who are literally raping children getting off with only a few months and that pisses me off.

[–]olaisk 9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

He means he’s not the first to go down this path. He was convicted without material evidence only based on witness testimony. That’s why the more severe case only got 3 years, the less severe one got 20. Remember the majority of rape cases get convictions without dna tests, rape kits or material evidence and solely based on he said / she said.

The law is additive. Basically this case can now be used to convict thousands of men on the same he said / she said basis. Which means this is soon to follow. That’s why he’s confused and what he means by due process, the police hid a lot of exculpatory evidence. So will many actors and celebs and moguls be when they take the stand. This should play out front and center between 2020-2030. Were in for a hell of a ride coming up.

You need to post this in the /r/movies thread on him too. You'll get flamed out of existence, but people should see it.

[–]olaisk 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Tell me where and I’ll do it.

[–]XavierMalory 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah thank you! That makes this much more understandable and with the reference provided adds to the gravity of the situation.

Hello again, Salem, Massachusetts. Is it 1692 already?

[–]bastardbeard666 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Basically this case can now be used to convict thousands of men

This was my thought exactly.

[–]Eric_the_Enemy 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

More accurate headline: Harvey Weinstein sentenced to 23 years in prison for not being able to project the future and know that women would regret consenting to sex with him and spark the 'MeToo' movement.

It's long - but worth it.

He said it because he did not get a fair trial, and he was convicted of a crime that there was no evidence for. He was proven to be the same sort of bad guy as his accusers were, in that he carried on multiple relationships. That was it.

[–]olaisk 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I urge everyone to read the case details - https://images.law.com/contrib/content/uploads/documents/399/19083/Weinstein-Dismiss-Affirmation.pdf

The media has taken us on a roller coaster about Harvey. The difference between facts and what’s purporting is absurd.

Don’t judge the man without reading it. Then judge for yourself.

[–]tangodelta76 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This guy is a total piece of shit. I dont want a dude like this near my kids.

[–]HungryBrain1 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

They wanted his money and power so they accepted sex with him. They paid for play and now they are making him pay. He’s a disgrace but this is wrong.

[–]EvilLothar 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

How is he a disgrace? He had what they wanted, and they had what he wanted. It was a trade of services. It's been done before, and will be done in the future.

Women are biologically attracted to men with power and wealth. The only solution to this would be to no let someone employ a member of the opposite sex.

[–]HungryBrain1 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Some of the shit he did was predatory and creepy. That’s well beyond basic exchange.

[–]EvilLothar 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In your opinion. Predatory and creepy are not against the law. These women still had the ability to walk away. They chose not to. He didn't force them to do anything against their will. There were (AFAIK) no police reports or rape claims at the time...

[–]olaisk 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You should read the facts of the case - https://images.law.com/contrib/content/uploads/documents/399/19083/Weinstein-Dismiss-Affirmation.pdf. Not the attorney opinion, I mean the material evidence message excepts. If he seems predatory to you after, then fair enough.

[+]ChefPiggie4 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

Such as?

Trust me, I did look into any accusations I could find, and there's always contradictory nonsense in them.

Remember the video of that girl she recorded of her meeting with Harvey? The one where she flirts with him hard and then agrees to get drinks with him after he already agrees to go with her company for business?

Asia Argento groomed and raped her co-star from the age of 11 to 17. Rose MacGowan was called out by Gallo for having a relationship with Harvey. One of the accusers at his trial (I don't know her name) said he showed up unannounced to her apartment and raped her, yet her friends said she had a 3 year relationship with him, there are texts from her saying she's praying Harvey gets her a job, and her apartment had like 2 gates she'd have to buzz him through to get to her, so there was no way he showed up unannounced.

I haven't seen any evidence, real evidence, of drugging women, threatening their careers if they didn't sleep with him, or any stories that don't have holes in them.

I see this as a powerful Hollywood producer surrounded by a bunch of actresses in a cut throat business, willing to do what it took to get to the top, aka. fucking him.

[–]olaisk 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That’s because he didn’t do any of that stuff like Cosby did.

[+]ChefPiggie2 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Even one of the women I was just reading about who said that he literally held her down and raped her, said "he convinced me to see him again."

Like...what? A guy rapes you then convinces you to voluntarily come see him again for Round 2?

[–]olaisk 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The case details are dumbfounding. They had relationships for months and years after these events, thousand of emails https://images.law.com/contrib/content/uploads/documents/399/19083/Weinstein-Dismiss-Affirmation.pdf

[+]ChefPiggie2 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Holy fucking shit.

And these were hidden from the grand jury...

There is just no doubt anymore that this is a coordinated attack against the guy. I wonder now if it's just a perfect storm set off by Rose and Asia that women jumped on board with, or if there is something more sinister afoot beneath the surface targeting Harvey to take him down.

The shit in this is seriously unreal...Just those e-mails alone while showed to a jury would be enough to cast reasonable doubt.

[–]olaisk 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. The way the evidence was hidden and the way the media railroaded him is beyond reprehensible. He is right in that due process is out the window. We have traded laws for extremism. It’s absolutely disgusting that one mans life was sacrificed without a fair trial, no matter who he allegedly was. We are in a post due process world.

He was convicted entirely on witness testimony basically the woman’s words - she said. Think about that for a second, real evidence was withheld to allow for hearsay and witness statements. No other justice system would allow this. Europe spits at us looking at this.

[–]ChefPiggie 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, I've thought about it. It's fucking insane and terrifying.

[–]darkbluexanadu 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lets not forget that EVERY woman who agreed to pay for play and want on their merry way with their roles and careers should hold just as much responsibility. I have to see one article/interview where anyone has questioned if this "horrific" thing happened to you why didnt you say something/do something. And no i dont accept "it would have ended my career".

[–]olaisk 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They didn’t say “it would have ended my career”. The media embellished, it caught on. The case details don’t include it because it wasn’t acceptable evidence.

[–]dukunt 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The biggest effect from all of this is that woman won't be able to sleep their way to the too as easily as before. Which is good I suppose, unless you are a woman who plans on sleeping her way to the top. Now she's going to have to work for it. But it will also help curb preditory behavior by some men and women who think that just because they are rich and powerful that they can have sex with anyone that they want. And women are just as guilty as man are, just look at Katy Perry.

[–]EvilLothar 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What are you smoking? You really think men and women are going to change just because of this? The only thing that might change, is that more men are going to start recording everything and keeping it forever..."just in case". If Harvey had done what Jian did, he would have gotten off.

[–]ripshitonhamm 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would literally live in car with someone I love rather than a rich prick. That's no lie

[–]clear-tape -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Manipulating somebody into having sex with you is rape. They had the choice between being homeless and never making it in the industry or letting him have his way. There’s a massive power imbalance.

[–]lostapwbm 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“Thousands of men are losing due process. I’m worried about this country,”

Donates $2.3 million to the Party of #ListenAndBelieve, #MeToo, and #WhyWouldAWomanEverLieAboutRape

I hope they drop your ass in Sing Sing.

What he said is true. The problem is that Harvey Weinstein is the type of sociopathic asswipe who didn't give a shit about due process until he needed some, only to find out that his 'friends' raped it, killed it, and dumped its dismembered body down a mine shaft.

[–]rocshan 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. All he did was give women amazing careers and this is the thanks he gets.

[+]jorchardst1 points 6 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Or ...

Highly successful white male 65+ media mogul sentenced to 20 years in jail for going down on an adult woman he was in a consensual sexual relationship with (1st degree sexual assault charge) and given 3 years for having consensual sex with a different adult woman he was also in a sexual relationship with but she had a couple of drinks on the night she alleges was raped (3rd degree rape in NY).

Read up on the facts of this case. You could easily be next if you're on someone's radar.

[–]clear-tape 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You really think false accusations are that common? A man in America is 260 times more likely to be raped than to be falsely accused of rape.

[–]MrKumansky 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

wtf is wrong with this sub?

[+]ANOTH3R6MILLI0NPLZ1 points 6 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

I loved it when he threatened to release all the Emails he had and suddenly all these women freaked out.

Yeah...wouldn't want your "rape" to be exposed as what it actually was: holes for roles

[–]LeNoir 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

well why didn’t he

[–]Fuckmeintheass4god 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because it was probably just blackmail

[–]DubsPackage 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A modern day lynching with no evidence, only he said she said and a clear agenda by cultural elites to bury this man.

[–]HungryBrain1 -3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure you’re all right and such. He’s not creepy at all.

[–]XavierMalory 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

At present, I don’t see a single comment here that says (or even alludes) to him not being creepy.

Your username checks out, so I’m curious why you said this.

[–]HungryBrain1 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I said he was predatory and creepy and they continue to argue. The guy is a creep. That’s not illegal but he is.

[–]XavierMalory 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, I guess I was confused because you just posted that as an original comment so I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the OP or someone in the comments section

[+]jorchardst1 points 6 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Are you aware that he was found innocent of 1st degree rape and predatory sexual assault?

[–]HungryBrain1 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did I say he was guilty of anything? Can you read?

[+]jorchardst1 points 6 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I said he was predatory and creepy and they continue to argue.

HungryBrain1: "I said he was predatory and creepy and they continue to argue."

Beat it. This thread is above your threshold of retaining facts. You're the type of person all men should fear if ever put on a jury.

[–]HungryBrain1 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well that’s me told then. I mean, not by any particular argument or anything, just your heightened view of your own moral value or something. People must love you. 😂
