This happened on another season too. Older guy married a 19 or 20 year old beautiful Filipina. If I remember correctly, during the tell all the hostess went after the guy pretty hard. But here is the thing, a lot of dude's get married for access to sex, and a lot of women get married for access to resources. She will always be able to control the access to sex, but if he had gotten married without a pre nup he would have lost control of the resources and it would create a power imbalance in their relationship.

To be honest, in the case of them divorcing, it sounds like that prenup ain't gonna fly. The divorce court will probably judge that it is 'not reasonable or fair' for the husband to keep everything, and instead of making reasonable adjustments to the prenup they will just void the whole prenup and resume like it never existed, and then grant 50% of marital assets to her, including his stuff that was acquired before they were legally wedded. That figure can go up to 80 or 90% if she can claim domestic violence, depending on the state, not sure about CT which is where he guy lives. This is why marriage is a scam where the man will pretty much always lose, and the woman will almost always win in terms of assets, house, alimony, child support (without having to provide receipts), custody, and retain friendships and personal reputation. The woman will be entitled to the lifestyle that she is now accustomed to, and the man has to fund it. Even though chances are he was spending most of his time working long hours then commuting back home, while she doesn't have to work.

And that’s why having offshore accounts and shells is a good idea. Prenups are good (and every girl that heard that I’d want a prenup if I get married reacted negatively).

But prenups don’t always hold in court. Having your assets owned through an offshore company does though. It sounds like a complicated solution and an expensive one, but it’s way way cheaper than losing half in a divorce.

In 1965 I was sitting in my grade 1 classroom at North Bendigo PS. For some reason I decided that marriage was a mugs game for men. Don't know why. It was a decade before no fault divorce. Glad I made that decision however.
