Anyone seen the newest season of big mouth? One of the main characters goes to a mens rights meeting; finds out almost immediately they're all neo-nazis. The drama teacher is set up as a cartoonishly evil "toxic male" (yeah I realize this is a cartoon, but most of the characters are pretty realistic/grounded).

Sad as I really enjoy the show overall, but the hamfisted feminist writing sometimes derails the whole thing.

My Sonused to watch "Everybody Loves Raymond". I watched one or two episodes...

I fucking HATED that show, or was the epitomy of this. Att one point I was thinking "If these women sre so damned brilliant, how'd trey wind up with this pack of retards?" Of course, having come to understand radical feminism better, I get it now. These guys ARE the "best and brightest".

partly explains why some people are irritated by many female heroines. It's not "misogyny" or "men just can't stand strong women!" It's the fact that often female heroines can't simply be good, well-written characters. They always have to be flawless, superior characters who's femaleness is her defining trait and the thing that makes her great

They're poorly written characters, in general. And additionally, they perpetuate the female supremacist The Future Is Female mentality. If all the characters were gender-swapped in many of these films, feminists would accuse them of "misogyny"

And feminists would accuse them of "glamorizing male violence against women", considering how often the female characters end up beating up men at some point. And it's always shown as a good, empowering thing. How often do male good guys beat up or hit women where it's supposed to be a good thing that the audience roots for? Not nearly as much as vice versa

Even when it's not about attacking men they will always make it extremely partisan and attack anybody that disagrees with them. I just had the misfortune of seeing the Graham Norton Show and not even a minute into the opening he was ranting about Donald Trump and Boris Johnson and how 'divisive' they were and of course gushed about how amazing Greta Thunberg was.

This is why I am finding myself watching right wing people more or at least honest left wingers like Joe Rogan ( Yes he is ), Sargon of Akkad and Tim Pool because they are all honest about their biases and that's fine.

What I can't fucking stand are all these shows who put on this fakery about being neutral or apolitical and then they have a full on rant about how horrible Trump is and even after that they still try to pretend they're any kind of apolitical.

Just like the MCU today appealing to feminists. Most characters were well written: they have a flaw such as Iron Man's weapons hurting people, Bruce's Hulk form hurting people, Black Widow being an assassin, idk about cap, and Thor being unfit to rule Asgard. Then it talks about how they went on a journey of redemption and formed the avengers to help the people they hurt.

Then marvel Just introduces Captain marvel as the most powerful character ever without any reason other than to please the feminist. Brie Larson is always bragging about how she is the "best avenger" at the interviews with the cast. She is portrayed as this all-powerful capable woman beating everyone up without even a good story (apart from trying to find her past. and whenever someone disagrees with them they get pounded on by feminists. so sad what has become of this franchise lately. Stan Lee would not approve.

That’s because, more often than not, they have just watched something in which the female lead is the smart and capable hero, and the male lead is the bumbling idiot who must be rescued by his female companion. For the sake of their self-esteem, I find myself having to clarify that what they are witnessing is a systematic effort to denigrate men for the sake of exalting women, all in the name of “equity”.
