The girl, from Townsville, accused 24-year-old Joshua Whyte of sending her lewd photos, molesting her, having sex with her and masturbating in front of her.

What happened to the pictures? She said there were pictures? No pictures? That should have ended this witchhunt.

As a friend of a guy who was falsely accused, this really hits home. The women in question never see the damage a false accusation can do to the accused because they are solely focused on themselves.

My friend and the girl in question (a now ex friend of mine) dated for a short while, before breaking it off for just not being the right fit. About a month later, she accused him of raping her at a party. My poor friend was forced out of college, and wasn't even allowed back when she admitted to the police it was a lie. She got no repercussions for her actions, whereas the guy she fucked over struggled to get into another college. Normally pretty outgoing, he became this shell of himself. Here's the kicker; they never had sex.

I think there should be harsh punishments for people who lie to the police like this. It's both a waste of police time and is harmful to the credit of women who have actually been raped. It's things like this that make me truly ashamed to be a woman.

My big bro told me this, rape is a scary heinous thing. It’s so terrible people find it hard but people actually lie about it. Enough times. Out of spite or whatever reason. It’s terrible.
