I currently had an epiphany and the heaviness in my heart lifted. Here's the backstory:

After a 3 year-long, very complicated relationship that ended over a year and a half ago, I had trouble emotionally getting over him. Of course time passed and it took me about a year to get back into the realm of dating. Since then, I've always had this mindset that it's really difficult to find someone to connect with on a very deep level.

Today it came to my attention that since I got back into dating, I've actually met about 4 guys (out of 10+ dates I've been on) with whom I saw a possibility of long term capability; YET, I kept telling myself that 'it's so damn difficult to find someone to connect with on a very deep level.' Then I thought, wait a minute... I've met 4 guys I could see myself in a LTR with, and out of those 4, 3 of them I actually connected with strongly! The fact that I've felt a strong bond with almost half of the guys I've been on dates with baffles me that I think:

'It's so difficult to find someone I connect with on a very deep level.'

This is where the "abundance mentality" shifted into my brain. I keep thinking that I won't be able to find a guy that I can connect with deeply, but this is surely not true. By the "statistics" of guys that I've dated who I actually see a possibility with is somewhat high.

I now realize it's important to remember that if one guy falls through the cracks or doesn't work out, there's most definitely a high possibility of meeting someone new.
