I'm a Christian. RP is similar to the traditional model of man and woman (marriage wise) that is espoused in the Bible so they go hand in hand really well to me.

I'm Catholic.
I focus a lot on the idea that my submission to my husband is equal to his responsibility in caring for me and loving me as Christ loves the Church. It's not just my job to do as he says, but his to guide me in the right way.

I am a christian. When I first got married, I read all the marriage books. I loved the traditional, Christian idea of marriage. But I fought it so hard and denied it was for me. Now I am back to a more traditional view and realizing it makes so much more sense.

I was raised Christian and my SO was raised Hispanic Catholic. Both of us are agnostic. Religion isn't a factor in our values or relationship.

Neither religious nor atheist. Religion doesn't play a big role in my life, but just from personal observations, my religious friends tend to be more family oriented and have similar values to me. My traditional values come from observing what works and what doesn't work for other people and what I want in my life.

For example, in high school and college, I saw my friends sleep around and I saw that many guys didn't respect or value them. And I saw that sex wasn't meaningful to them. I wanted a deeper connection than that, so I chose to be sexually conservative. So while I didn't have religion telling me to save myself for marriage, my personal preferences ended up lining up pretty closely with traditional values.

The closest I could say is a mix of Taoism/Confucianism/Buddhism, but for me it's more of a culture than an actual religion. I don't go to church, rather it's simply a value system and a lifestyle.

In Confucianism, there is a lot of emphasis on the family and patriarchy.

However I'm not Chinese, just to clarify. My boyfriend was raised Catholic.

1) Yes, sort of. I take spirituality as an intimate living relationship with a higher power and not a code of beliefs. I don't believe in humans having ordained power as in the Pope, but I mostly follow Catholic tradition like I have been raised.

2) Hinders due to views on sex and the fact that I will never have a man as the center of my life or my top priority; I thus have to find a man that has the same direction. This narrows my dating pool into a puddle.

I'm not sure how much religion affects my sexual feelings. I could not have sex outside of marriage or at the very least intent to marry, because I need to feel safe and confident with that person. I can't imagine feeling that way with anyone but a man who has decided to marry me. Lately, thanks to replies on a post, I'm thinking I may not even be physically able to have sex with anyone I wasn't committed with.

I was raised Quaker and have recently been attending a Baptist church. My partner is an atheist. For me, Christianity reinforces the tendencies towards positivity, friendliness, service to others, and self-improvement.
