I love this! it's so hard to walk away, there were times that I felt so conflicted that it was literally eating me alive... She walks all over me and then gives me delicious scraps that keep me holding on to her by a last thread

Weird, yesterday some girl told me a story identical to this, about finals week a year ago....

The next time you want to say "no" to her, just say it. It'll be difficult. You'll feel guilty. But stick up for yourself, and stand by your decision.

If you don't stand up for yourself, you can't expect anyone else to stand up for you, and you certainly can't expect anyone else to respect you.

Unfortunately, once someone learns they can walk all over you, it's incredibly difficult to ever change that. Your weakness and supplication become their expectation. It becomes something they're entitled to. Any deviation from the norm is taken as an affront to them.

Not only is any deviation from the norm an affront to them, it's coming from someone they don't respect. So they're even more insulted!

I'd be prepared to walk away from this relationship.

"Your weakness and supplication becomes their expectation. It becomes something they're entitled to. Any deviation from the norm is taken as an affront to them."

that sounds like the truth :(

I'm not sure how applicable a lot of the prevailing viewpoints here on male-female relationships might be when both individuals are female. I suppose the general advice should fit well.

Be independent. Have your own life, your own hobbies and interests, your own successful career, your own friends, and get yourself into a place where you don't need your SO, like she's the only thing you have going on in your life, but choose her as one of many things that are important to you.

Be confident. Get physically fit, professionally successful, socially apt, well read, and good with yourself -- so that you're comfortable with the fact that you'd be able to move on and find someone else if things went south with your SO. That way, you're not shaking with fear when you stand up to your SO.

Have a spine. Ask for what you want, sex included (it's okay if your SO says no, but if you're not asking at all because you fear rejection, that is itself, extremely unattractive). Do what you want often, without asking permission. You do not need your SO's permission to live your own life. She's your girlfriend, not your employer. Don't give in when she orders you to do petty and trivial things she could easily do herself just to assert herself over you. Don't stand for any disrespect (especially public, but shoot her down when you're alone, too).

And be attractive. Just doing the three paragraphs above with consistency makes you more attractive already, but dressing well, maintaining your appearance, working on getting comfortable talking to people in a variety of situations, and just generally becoming the kind of person people actually want to be with makes you attractive to others. If there's one thing women love in a man (and I guess a woman if they're a lesbian), it's somebody that could have another woman, but chose them. Somebody who's an unattractive loser and couldn't land anybody else if their life depended on it is the kind of person who gets disrespected, cheated on, and dumped.

As a (female) visitor from the "worst sub" thread, that sounds like great advice for anyone, male or female, gay or straight.

I'm curious, in your view, is this advice not relevant for a straight female?

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Generally, confidence never hurts anybody. But men value different things in female companions than what females value in men. Most men aren't looking for a dominant, confident leader in a woman, because it's not in most men's nature to want to be led. Most of us work for a boss already - we don't need a second boss at home. On the other side of the coin, despite what a lot of women say they want regarding shared partnerships, etc., most women don't really want all of the responsibilities and decisions for their household thrust upon them because their man is too much of an underconfident wuss to lead the family. Most girls would rather have a man who makes mistakes with authority than a guy who hands them the reins for fear of disappointing them.

Women, on the other hand, value confidence, social aptitude, independence, leadership qualities, etc. in their mates -- these are attractive male traits. Women want to sleep with winners, not with pussies. That's where a lot of "nice guys" go wrong. The second they start centering their entire lives around a woman, that sets off the woman's subconscious desperation triggers. Guys who aren't independent reek of trying too hard, being desperate to hold on, not being able to land other women. Even if that's not true, that desperate behavior is a subconscious turn-off for most women. They consciously love the validation and like the guy, but at the end of the day, they're not exactly horny for a guy who gives off the perception of not having his own important stuff beyond them going on.

A lot of people have taken The Red Pill theory to a bit of an oversimplified extreme in an attempt to condense a lot of very effective knowledge into a simple bag of tricks. That's where you hear things like "be an asshole toward girls instead of a nice guy," when the real message ought to be "become a guy that's actually worth a shit." Being worth a shit sometimes involves telling your girlfriend "no," and much to their surprise, women often find themselves admiring and respecting their man a lot more the next day if he had the balls to tell them no. Guys who scurry around doing whatever their women tell them, walking on eggshells, constantly afraid of pissing their women off might be a "good boyfriend/husband", but they're not very sexy to most gals and probably aren't getting laid.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just wanted to chime in to say my RES count has you at +9, making you one of my favorite contributors to this sub, and I hope you keep it up. Thanks for your posts.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It can be, sure. However, the people who usually turn here for advice are men who have lost their way. It's really that simple, it's grown off the popularity of men trying to rediscover (or simply discover) their masculinity in pure independence and strength, core elements of the male gender.

I'm not saying women can't have these traits of being strong and independent, but women are much more tapped into their emotions, it's what makes them emotionally superior and complex. I respect those female attributes, but they are not meant to be a males strengths. We are not emotionally complex, we are meant to be a pillar of strength and stability for women. When many women talk about their attraction toward men, they mention how they want to get lost in a mans masculinity and stability. Here, check this out from the womans perspective.

The above advice you were questioning is for a man looking to regain his masculinity, which is a the general populace of this sub.

[–]lachiemx 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most of it is. It might be a bit masculine for a straight female who wants a strong man though. It can be difficult to forge a united relationship if both people are too independent and successful.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

who won me over

Isn't the answer in your question? She had to win you over to get a relationship with you right? Now she knows you're not going anywhere. You need to embrace the dread game, probably with some subtle (or not) external validation...

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You should research and understand the concepts of frame and dread.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What do you want out of being the Alpha in the relationship? I think that having a bit more information in this area would allow for better responses, since there's a common theme that women want control and then once they achieve it don't respect/care about the person they're controlling.

Edit: if possible, include your thought process.

[–]pony1108 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well to start of with basics, I know it sounds crazy as we have been dating for a long time, but I am scared to kiss her or hold her in public! It was so natural in the beginning, I felt dominant, and like I could do whatever I wanted with her, whenever I wanted, and she was loving it. Now everything is on her terms. From affection, hanging out, going to a spot of my choice or dictating anything to her, it is her way or the highway. I can sit back and wait 'til she comes to me, but it will almost definitely end up with negative results...

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It sounds like you could stand to inspire a bit of Dread. Get all shiny and fancy, head out to a bar, take a lot of pictures. Get hit on, don't get hammered, stay out late with some friends. You're not looking for a new SO, you're just showing her that you can find someone else at a moments notice.

[–]alt30313 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll repeat what others have said: you need to be willing to take the L and that you need to re-establish your frame. You also need to realize and internalize that she's lucky to be with you and you have great qualities (make a list if you have too). Knock her off the pedestal in your mind (make a list of her flaws and why she's lucky to have you). Often times the one that cares the least/ the one who is willing to walk away has the power; re-shift your focus off your relationship and back to you and be selfish about your wants and needs, think of reasons think of reasons you should opt out and look around for better options.

I also agree with kyrzar in that you should introduce dread game. Follow his advice. You can also have a girls night out with her and some of your friends where you flirt with other girls and ignore her (your friends may even play along). You could also mention you saw an ex, drop some hints about how great she looked and suggest hanging out/suggest a threesome to spice up your sex life. Make it about her, challenge her, and focus on her recent her poor performance. (sex with her has been boring lately, she doesn't bring her A game like she did when you first dated, you don't think she can rock your world anymore)

You also need to set boundaries and refuse to cave. Don't ask her where she wants to go, lead and if she doesn't like it tell her she can pick the next night. If she's acting like a brat call her out and let her know you don't appreciate it and won't put up with it. Again, let her know she's replaceable and mean it. Another option is to let her know you want to open the relationship if your so wants to keep behaving the same way. There was a post about a long-haul truck driver recently that told his wife that he didn't agree to a sexless marriage, that he had options on the road and that while he wanted to be faithful if she didn't put out he'd get sex else where. She caved.

thinking it wouldn't be well received that 1) I am a woman and 2) that I'm a lesbian.

We don't care about your sex or orientation. Power in LTRs boils down to whether or not she knows you have options and whether or not she knows that you're willing to walk. How you show her these things is up to you.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I have come across an especially cunning woman, who won me over with her gorgeous spanish ass, titties, overall body, thick mahogany black curly hair and that exotic sex-freak vibe.

Are you certain you were the "alpha" before and now you're not? Because it sounds to me like you've just settled into a relationship. Is she withholding sex or is she just not giving you all the sex you want?

[–]pony1108 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

No, I am not sure... And not giving all the sex that I want

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

Note that you said she won you over, not the other way around. You describe her as cunning and incredibly sexy. And then:

Now, I am nothing but a jelly-fish who cant assert her own place. The manipulative monster has perfectly wrapped me around her finger, even giving me sex only at her own whim.

Manipulative, how? Is she actually cruel to you? Or does shen just make the decisions and you to go along with them? You're getting sex, right, just not all the sex you want?

Honey, I think this Spanish minx might be the alpha and you're her conquest. It sounds to me like you had the upper hand in previous relationships and now you resent her because she has the upper hand over you.

[–]pony1108 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I did definitely have the upper hand in previous relationships. But I also did in the beginning of this one (we have been dating for a while). I found her, got her, got whatever I wanted out of her, whenever I wanted, and she would just follow my lead. I felt in control, I could kiss her whenever I wanted, touch her however I wanted, in public or not. Now I am scared to do that. Now, everything is about her doing what she wants, whatever she is COMFORTABLE doing, and whenever she wants... If I want to see her, sleep with her, or do anything I want with her I have to wait until she initiates it - I HATE IT... Also if I don't give her attention/blow her off/break up with her and wait until she comes back, sure, she does, but she employs tactics that put me right back in the subservient position! for example: if i don't text or call, she gets mad and bitchy or does the same thing back to me for longer periods of time. another example: she knows that I am available to her so she hangs out with me whenever she wants, IF she's not hanging out with her friends. It was NEVER like that before. I could have whenever I wanted. I could FEEL I was in power. She's done fucked up things too, nothing terrible but basically blow me off for friends, not invite me places, etc...

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, this reads like the stories of so many men who have started out having the upper hand in the relationship and then found themselves as supplicants. She sounds like she enjoys being chased far more than she likes being in a relationship.

I think the advice is the same: Take charge. Decide what you will and will not accept and make that plain. She complies or you walk. She's made you her subordinate in every way and that is not going to change unless you change it.

[–]McMurphyCrazy 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah you're going to have to be willing to take the L if you want to get the power back in this relationship. Have you ever listened to The Black Phillip Show with Patrice O'Neal?

[–]autoNFA 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

she knows that I am available to her so she hangs out with me whenever she wants, IF she's not hanging out with her friends

She's done fucked up things too, nothing terrible but basically blow me off for friends, not invite me places, etc

You're describing a lot of behaviors that would cause me to temporarily or permanently drop contact with any person engaging in them, be they friend or lover. What the hell happened to you valuing your own time?

The one more willing to walk away is the one with more power.

[–]pony1108 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

When I do walk away she chases after me and is as sweet and attentive as ever. I'm a sucker...

[–]autoNFA 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Then why do you stop letting her chase after you if it works so well?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the key. Right there.

[–]birdwontquit 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Listen to all 13 episodes of The Black Philip Show by Patrice O'Neal.

Why has this woman allowed you to become pathetic? If she left what would you miss? Other than sex. Everything you've described about her is physical/sexual. I've gotten over dimes. Once they're gone everything is the same.

Do you want to leave her, or gain your power back in the relationship? Either way, the answer is the same, she needs to know you can leave her and be just fine with it. Willingness to walk away.

Generally, women are attracted to three things.

1) Confidence. This should be self-explanatory. If you don't know what confidence is let me know and I'll explain.

2) Self-control. This is the willingness to deprive yourself of what you want on principle. Think of the ability to not eat a dessert in order to stay fit. When applied to her this means turning her down for sex if she is using it to manipulate you. You said she gives you sex on her terms. Next time say "no thanks, I'm good". Flip it. Have some self-control. Show some backbone bitch. Don't be needy. Don't be eager. When she wants to see you and you're busy or you're annoyed at her, say no. When she wants you to do something you don't want to do, say no. Watch how the word "no" a few times will get her pussy wet. Note, I'm not saying say no to manipulate her, but rather say no because that's what you WANT to do. You don't want to fuck her when she throws you some pussy when she feels like it. You're resentful and angry of the control she has over you. But you do it cause you're WEAK.

3) An element of challenge. This is similar to the one above, but basically means you're not too easy. Make her compete and work for your time, affection, energy etc. Everyone wants what they can't have. She should feel like she "got" you.

[–]dirtyhotthrowaway 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A woman's source of control are in tantrums, your need/want for sex, and your presence.

Tantrums- must develop tunnel vision. Stay calm, let her have no control over your emotions. Most people (like myself) become beta in a LTR because we would rather not deal with it. It's easier to roll over and have her way, but it obvious leads to a lack of respect. I have to consciously nip problems while they happen, not later.

Sex- the tool of the trade, her version of TRP. Women can be like crack dealers; give you enough free until you're hooked, then you have to pay. Learn to not be motivated by her sex; if she wants to have it great but you're not going to beg. Generally not allowing her to run over you will bring this back, to the point where you shouldn't worry about this until that is in check. Once it is but you need help getting favors back, what I'll do is lick my girl out until she comes, then walk away from it. Too often we do nice things in exchange for sex (which even applies to sex), which just shows it's power. Eat her pussy like fuck you, I just like eating pussy and she won't want to lose you.

Presence- girls give bullshit when they think they're so above you you won't leave. To be honest in a less civilized past men would probably just assert physical dominance, ie smack her for dealing with a lot of this crap. I know I wouldn't want my daughter, sister or mother living in that type of society, so the next best thing is your ability to leave. If you can't leave, then you can't have her.

Can one of the mods remove this useless thread?

Any post that begins with "i am a woman" or "i am a girl" should be auto-banned and removed.

[–]Modredpillschool[M] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I tend to agree that starting with "I am a woman" is a ploy for attention and validation, but I'm actually curious if male red pill game works for lesbians, so this one gets a pass.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

  1. They have many different subs ranging from AskWomen to LGBT. In fact, I see the same exact advice being preached on other feminist subs but they don't yell or scream since this is coming from a girl and could never possibly be misogynistic.
  2. This thread isn't applicable to many of the original redpillers; so again, do they really need to post here when they have so many other venues?
  3. Going off #2, this is setting a bad precedent and it will further dilute this subreddit with inane posts that's not for our demographic. This has happened in the past with other men-only communities and usually signals the start of the decline.

As I've said again, this subreddit should auto-remove posts that start with "i am a woman" or "i am a girl." That would be a step in the right direction for this subreddit to live up to its non-gender bias. We should grade posts based on the content alone and not let these idiots prop themselves up by blatantly stating their gender and posting their useless advice.

There's no way she'll get help in r/askwomen

[–]pony1108 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thank you! I appreciate you having my back!

The reason I came to this sub for help is because I quickly gathered that my idea about women is very much like most men in this subreddit. I am out to find a conventional woman who is not a slut, yet will meet my sex drive. My own relationship is structured very much like one between a man and a woman - whether it's because my SO had more heterosexual relationships, or even because I myself structure it that way in attempt to establish some normalcy (I sometimes feel that a lesbian relationship is not the best or most natural state of affairs. HOWEVER: I can't help being attracted to only girls), or even because i just naturally take charge and try to behave in ways that assert my dominant position (i guess "man" position.) I contemplated posting as a male but I wanted to be genuine, and I wanted to be seen and liked by you guys for who I am. I look up to men for their mental strength and how stoic they are in terms of women, and how well they deal with them. I wish I was more like you guys. So that's why I posted here, to get advice from real men :)

I also i tried seeking advice from women. They gave me long, complicated, deep and elaborate responses often blaming me or telling me to change and to treat her better (can you imagine? wtf? if i treat her any better she will never fall off her pedestal.) So anyway the issue is not me treating her bad, it's that she quickly learned how to have the upper hand over me having way more relationship experience than I do. She is spoiled, manipulative and in total control and just needs to be put in her place.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As a man, the absolute most powerful card I have is the ability to walk away from a relationship. You can read about abundance mentality or dread game but it all means the same thing: I don't put up with any shit I don't have to.

Building from that foundation, you start to see things differently. This is no longer some angry goddess you have to figure out so she can bless you with non-bitchiness and holy tail. This is just your girlfriend and you can tell her to hit the bricks anytime you want.

[–]TheEyeUrnShaft 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
