I'm an egalitarian. Feminism is a movement advocating women's interests (and that's fine). In areas of female disadvantage this serves equality but in areas of female advantage, feminism actively opposes progress toward equality.

Now, There's nothing wrong with a movement advocating for a groups interests. It's important that such movements exist and argue. That's how public discourse works.

But don't tell me I have to wholeheartedly subscribe to one such group in order to hold egalitarian beliefs because that's just categorically wrong.

I know feminism is a total con job generally but one thing I've been thinking more about lately is the language they use when they talk to men. Everything is not just about shaming men for who they are but also making them do things for women.

What about women? They claim to want equal rights but always want men to give them everything that they want which is another in the long list of reasons I view feminists as scam artists. They're selling feminists a form of traditionalism but with a different coat of paint and removing all responsibility from women for their actions and desires.

Under feminism, men are still the providers but they have to give absolutely everything for nothing in return.

I think a lot of people seem to forget there is something called Egalitarianism. This way of thinking is broader then Feminism in general. The new wave tends to be more oppressive towards men and depicting us as disgusting pigs who enjoy nothing more than rape and sex.

We all want equality for everyone, but we want it to be fair. You don't get a CEO job just because you are gay, trans or a woman. You get the job because you worked your way to the top.
