[Cambridge] is an inclusive environment and we expect all our staff and visitors to uphold our principles. There is no place here for anyone who cannot.

Banning someone from coming to have an academic discussion. SO INCLUSIVE.

They even made the announcement of the rescinded offer before they even told him, this is just pandering. Out of most of the academics i've seen today, Peterson is probably the least hateful, he may have some controversial opinions, but they're his opinions, his academic record is excellent.

Aside from that, he's a class act in dealing with this crap, of people hating him for no good reason.

Every day the idiom “the lunatics have taken over the asylum” gains more meaning and brings with it more despair.

It just shows how scared the femisandrists are of anyone having an opinion different to their hateful group think.

I think they're ironically proving him right. Not trying to make this into a right vs left political debate, but one of the things that Jordan Peterson expresses a lot is that he feels that a growing number of people on the left are using oversensitivity to restrict / censor viewpoints they don't agree with.

They claimed that they are dis-inviting him because his views are intolerant, but at least in the Guardian article, they don't specify what about his views they found to violate their norms. This leads others guessing as to what they can and cannot say if they want to avoid a similar fate, incentivizing them to err on the side of keeping their mouths shut. Even if something someone is saying is not enough to offend a university like this, how are they to know if there aren't even any consistent, reasonable standards?
