Psychological bias: women and men sooner will listen to the trouble of females than that of males. for women it's generally a self identifying thing and for men it's generally a "safe the women in distress" kind of thing.

Men view other men generally as competition (men have to be taught to be cooperative). This is why in the early days brotherhoods are always seen as a very vital thing in a young mans life. That is disappeared in the last decades.

and yeah it is the start and we're going down hill.

Women complain about everything more than men.

Think about it, what is a "woman's issue"? Well, it's an issue that affects both men and women equally, but only women complain about.

"I have to look at models in fashion magazines who are more attractive than me. These magazines only exist to make me feel bad" "I can't get the clothes I want!" "I can't get the partner I want because of my appearance!" "I didn't automatically get promoted at work, and was only paid a salary commensurate with the number of hours I worked!"

There aren't any REAL "women's issues", only human problems that women moan about and liberal newspapers pretend only happen to women.

I think it stems from our biology - even in other species the male behaves as protector of females. I think we're wired to respond more to women especially if they are in distress.

For example it isn't uncommon to see a woman in distress out in public receive the help of strangers/bystanders. If those same people instead saw a man in distress it is rare to see someone try to intervene and break it up (what's worse is in some occasions people will intervene but not to break it up - instead choosing a side and escalating the situation).

From a biological / survival stand point it makes sense - we're the disposable ones. As much as it is unfair to men. I think this is the greatest reason for why there exists an empathy gap towards men - most people just aren't wired to resonate with how men suffer and won't do anything about men's suffering. It's expected of us.

The challenge for mens rights and MRAs is challenging this narrative and having people overcome their biological bias - which in a truly modern equal society should be possible - but we unfortunately aren't there (yet - maybe someday - doesn't mean we shouldn't fight for what we believe is right).

Honestly its because it is instinctual and everyone knows women are weaker. Humans are still tribal in our instincts. Women need protection more than men do. Men and women are different. We need to start embracing our differences instead of ignoring them. I also truly believe in equality when it comes to rights and opportunities. Every person on this planet deserves the same opportunity and choices to make want they want with their lives. If she chooses to be a feminist and hate men and campaign for better rights thats fine. It doesn’t mean she gets better rights but she should still be able to live her life exactly how she wants even if its fueled by hate. Likewise I have no problem with women in positions of power as long as she earned that spot fairly and does the job fairly without benefitting her sisters. Nobody should be held back for the way they were born, the color of their skin or what happens to be between their legs. Going through college I felt held back for both the color of my skin and what is between my legs. There is no money available if you are a healthy straight white male. But everybody tells me those three things give me privilege therefore I don’t deserve any help.

It's a few things, like other posters have mentioned below, but, it's also a key display of one of the biggest weaknesses/double-standards in the feminist agenda, especially in the West...

Feminists are quick to point out the sexist trope that is women are "damsels in distress", but don't actually do anything other than pointing it out.

This idea largely gets throw out the window once women have to struggle, be held accountable, or have responsibilities that are outside their comfort levels. In times like this, Western women and their feminist allies take to social media and other platform to just go back to blaming muh patriarchy and male privilege!

At the same time I completely agree with you feminist ideology is fucked but I really can't have all that much sympathy for countries like Egypt that beat, stone and frequently rape their women as part of their 'religion'.

I don't think that feminism is the way forward, I think it's a vile ideology and causes as much problems as Islam. Yet again though as I'm from Bradford I know the shit countries like Egypt have been exporting over here ( Though it's mainly Saudi Arabia and Turkey ) and have seen it all for myself I can't help but find it all ironic that Muslims are going to be reaping what they sowed by siding with people like feminists.

It's kind of hilarious actually, if this really is the case in Egypt I would have taken bets that Islam would have won the battle of ideologies in Egypt but if feminists are genuinely taking over there that's interesting. Don't make the mistake of thinking that MRAs and their supporters are anything like feminists, we won't just automatically side with you because you have a dick. I support your right to a fair trial and equal custody etc. but as far as I'm concerned seeing the overthrow of Islam in the middle east? Yeah, fuck it, zero sympathy.

Having studied the middle east especially the history of the Ottomon Empire and the history of Kurdistan I am deeply suspicious of anyone really from the middle east trying to gain sympathy from us here in the west given how many regard us as the 'evil western imperialists'.
