I was doing my weekly shopping and got to the bus stop 35 minutes before my bus arrived (I was there 10 minutes before the time for the previous one, but either it had been super early or wasn't running). I had been the first person waiting and at the front area of where the bus stopped.

I got up first when the bus arrived and signalled for it to stop as you usually do, and by then there were about 8 people waiting in the queue.

After the bus stopped, a young woman who had actually been one of the last two people that had arrived, and not the only woman there either (the second person after me was also female), came right up into my personal space and forcibly tried to board the bus before me. Except I wasn't having any of it and I didn't back out of her way and stepped on first.

To which she loudly moaned for everyone to hear - 'OH MY GOD, DON'T YOU KNOW ITS LADIES FIRST? WOW MAN!'.

Unfortunately I can never think of immediate comebacks in such situations no matter how much I wish I had a few minutes later, but I could have said many things such as calling her sexist, assuming genders, 'How is women first equality for women?' or any such thing, and would love to get into such an argument with such idiots, but that would most likely lead to me being arrested and put in cell because of actual real gender discrimination towards men.

  • Edit, my 'feminine' user name is an anonymous account due to needing to hide my real name on reddit as well now, as my first account was getting harassment and used my real name. And this isn't the first time thats happened online (Ive previously had people stalk and find my parent's names and address, as well as my other accounts such as YouTube and eBay, most of it for my right leaning political views including having been very vocal about mens rights and anti feminism. My first account had started getting mass harassment and doxxing for being an open and vocal Trump supporter).
