/r/relationships is filled with lonely /r/toomanychromosome users who are too broken to make relationships with people work, so instead they hold multiple cats hostage in an attempt to fill the emotional void their repugnant personalities create. It is not a place to go for any sort of useful advice.

R/relationships almost always gives the opposite of good advice. Think about it, who's going to be browsing and commenting on a relationships forum? Probably not anyone in a successful one.

I read through the thread and didn't see anyone at all defending the girlfriend for asking if he's a pedophile, just a lot of people responding to how difficult it can be to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't talk to you at all.

The girlfriend is a shitty person no doubt, but the guy honestly has serious relationship problems of his own and he got honest answers.

I don't see the problem with this thread.

This woman is not only, judging from what we know, paranoid, but idiotic enough to enter into a relationship with a man she has such egregious suspicions about. It baffles me, as a gay man, that so many straight men get involved with clearly mentally ill women like this. Is this the male version of women who get involved with men who abuse them (a phenomenon that may be exaggerated but nonetheless tangible)?

Assuming the person wanted advice rather than just a circlejerk, the comments should seem like they're siding with the other person some suggesting they immediately leaving the person. Many comments did suggest the relationship probably won't work (due to incompatibility, not any one person's fault or because of those comments made by the other person) but suggested putting some effort to be more talkative could help with future relationships.
