A sucker punch is never warranted IMO, and the appropriate proportional response to being spat on would be a firm shove back into that wall or front handed slap from the person she spat on with a finger pointed to the face and a reprimand. If she starts swinging, then by all means square off and punch, otherwise leave well enough alone and call it tit for tat.
