Chris Rock is probably the most anti-PC comedian of all time. And he is concerned about current trends:

In an interview with Vulture magazine, Rock said he stopped doing shows at colleges because they were “too conservative.”

“Not in their political views,” Rock clarified. “But in their social views and their willingness not to offend anybody. You can’t even be offensive on your way to being inoffensive.”

Good comedy is almost always offensive.

Comedians are (or at least were) given more breathing room. We understand that comedians are probably going to be offensive at some point, as we laugh along.

Indeed even authoritarians understood comedy as a form of catharsis; this is where the "court jester" comes from, and today's pale variant, the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

So, many people at college who consider themselves "progressive" and even "revolutionary" are in fact just a bunch of boring, annoying, stuffed shirt assholes who want to spoil the fun for the rest of us.

Even vanilla comedians like Jerry Seinfeld are becoming concerned:

“I don’t play colleges but I hear a lot of people tell me, ‘Don’t go near colleges, they’re so PC,’” Seinfeld said.

Even the beloved John Cleese is alarmed:

John Cleese: PC can lead to Orwellian nightmare

I wish George Carlin had lived for another ten, twenty years, although in another sense I don't because I'm not a sadist: Carlin would have been appalled.

Carlin was notoriously hostile to PC:

"Political correctness is America's newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people's language with strict codes and rigid rules. I'm not sure that's the way to fight discrimination. I'm not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech.”

Now what does any of this have to do with feminism?

Well on the one hand I agree that totalitarianism is simply a constant potential human threat, regardless of "left" or "right" or whatever. Every authoritarian government will try to censor people, and that's why freedom of speech is the most important right.

But feminism is quite sinister in this respect, because they are both humorless and factless.

It's one thing to be factless: gender studies is a sham. We all know that feminists need to censor because they lack facts.

But they are also humorless. And that's where the real problem arises. THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF HUMOR. But perhaps also the solution, and I think we're seeing that on countless Youtube videos, because, if done correctly, satire is the communication equivalent of an atomic bomb.
