So i got an invitation to an event taking a stand against "violence" however invitations are tailored towards men and the event centres...

The event/invites are specifically targeting males- clear enough to me that they want men to hate themselves (iso a tactful, yet clear way to point out this discriminatory event)

it isn't an event about domestic violence though, so that point is meaningless and will make him come off like a sexist moron. The event is literally called "walkto end violence against women and children"... like, that's what it is. That doesn't mean there's no such thing as violence against men.

Like if there was an event that was about ending the torturing of whales, would you want him to log in and comment, "this is so rude, there are turtles that suffer too.." like ok.. this event is about wales.

So, if he doesn't like that it's an event about women and children, then he shouldn't go. What he should NOT do, is comment some crazy BS about how men are victems of violence too. nobody said they weren't.

Yes- there are tons of these events and almost none about men, i understand that inequality and i share in your disapproval of it, but commenting on one of these events to protest that fact, doesn't seem like the right course of action.
