Uh, no. This article is conflating number of rape accusations with number of actual offenses. Which is the whole fucking problem.

1 in 5 women have been raped? No, 1 in 5 feminists in a voluntary university survey might say they've been raped. But dig deeper and you'll learn they weren't "raped" at all. Maybe they experienced something they do to men on a regular basis. I've seen several women post the MeToo hashtag, and then their stories are things they've literally done to me.

This article is a study in the nearly wilful blindness of feminism.

No it doesn't. It is based on a poll not backed by any evidence. The only true reflection of the incidence of rape in the UK, are convictions by jury in a court of law. The rough annual figure is about 3000. Which is miniscule in a population of about 25 million males.

The article is rife with obvious errors:

It compares the combined survey data of rape and sexual assault with only the conviction rate of rape rather than the combined rate. Through the entire article it jumps around between sexual assault and rape.

It regularly cites the total # of victims (men and women) while drawing conclusions only about female victims.

It assumes a 1:1 ratio between victim and perpetrator. Which I find extremely unlikely.

There is no comparison to the prosecution rate of other crimes vs survey data.

It equates false convictions with victims who've not had a successful prosecution of their perpetrator. Just because both can "destroy your life" it doesn't mean that the two things are remotely equivalent from a moral or policy perspective. We would never claim that we need to 'balance the scales' for murder victims.

Overall it's not just that the article's reasoning is wrong, but that the policy positions it calls for are quite extreme. This is a very thin plank to support doing away with trial by jury.
