Unless I'm mistaken, polls shows that more women than men want to criminalize abortion. However it's only a slight majority; like 55-45 or something, if memory serves. Women are also slightly more likely to be religious. [edit: according to /u/DolphinsAreOk the percentage of "women opposed to abortion" has been charted as high as 63 percent]

Either way these stats give the lie to the feminist claim that anti-abortion policies are a conspiracy by the patriarchy -- though no doubt they'll simply claim that anti-abortion beliefs among women are a product of "internalized misogyny" (aka women are feckless dummies who have no will of their own).

Though I find abortion troubling, especially in the later stages of pregnancy, I do support a woman's right to choose. As do most MRA's. However MRA's also demand the right to legal parental surrender for men. There are literally only a few feminists in history who have supported equal rights on this matter, eg Karen DeCrow.

The predominant feminist argument is "well, if you didn't want to use your body to support your child for 18 years (as opposed to a few months) you should have kept it in your pants." That sounds remarkably similar to justifications for anti-abortion laws: you should have kept your legs shut.

Feminism = her body, her choice. His body...also her choice.

I've heard of women who are against it because of the regret they feel. You don't know how that feels until you do it, then you can't go back.

There is "pro choice" and "pro life" but what is the side of the fence that is "I don't care, just don't ask taxpayers to fund it"?

Most of the women I know who have had children change their minds about abortion. I don't know how I feel about the abortion issue, but the women who support anti-abortion policies may be composed of mothers.

I'm mostly against abortion. One of my reasons is that it seems mostly lazy on both sides to not be using contraception if you are sexual active.

Obviously if it's a rape case it's more difficult.

One of my mates had a kid at 18 because his girlfriend lied about contraception. He's now shacked up with her, 25 years old with 3 kids. Seems like there are better foundations to build a family on.

As a man, I am pro-abortion, I would much rather it be aborted then I have to pay for it.
