There is an earnings gap. Women earn less than men. My wife earns less than I do. I've specialized in the same work for 2 decades, built a company, acquired and maintained clients, learned everything that goes with that and built side businesses. I work every day of the week every week, every month... She likes helping people and went to school to be a social worker. A job that pays shit. When she leaves work she is done for the day.

We made different choices.

Society is quite complex, it really depends! If you look at young people gender doesnt seem to matter much, and there is a huge drop in pay for women in their 30s.

Yes there is a difference in pay, but there is also a difference in hours worked, life choices, and types of work.

Actually, now that women are more likely than men to attend college, women entering the workforce are earning more than their male counterparts:

There's no company that systemically pays men higher wages for the same job, and it's illegal to do so anyway. Also not considered is how men are more likely to be unemployed, and more likely to be homeless.

short version: no, there's no pay gap.

Slightly longer version: after taking into account hours worked, seniority, career track and career/life choices, women make 102% of what men make between 18-35 and after that, men make 102% of what women make.

The unadjusted pay gap is often used by idiot feminists as something to bitch and whine about. The adjusted pay gap takes in to account the fact that women don't choose the same jobs as men, take more time off, and work less dangerous jobs.

Well their is a earnings gap, the way it's represented is: a man and a woman just got hired at 2 identical position at a law firm and the man earns more on his base salary
