It says it in the article you linked: It refers to a lifetime earnings gap, and even lists some of the contributing factors involved in it. The "wage gap" is commonly used to say "unequal pay for equal work," which this study doesn't come close to supporting.

Personal choices affect your income. E.g.

If you choose to do gender studies at university instead of engineering, you're going to get lower paying jobs after you graduate. Gender studies simply does not pay as well and that fact is public knowledge, so making the personal choice to do gender studies means that you made the personal choice to enter a lower earning career, no patriarchy involved.

If you choose to work 20 hours a week instead of full time, because you enjoy surfing and video games and want to have plenty of time for both, then you're going to earn less money than full time workers. That is a personal choice, not discrimination, not sexism and not oppression.

This page, like so many other, similar reports, is simply showing how the gender personal choices gap leads to a gender earnings gap. Feminists fail to grasp this simple and obvious fact not because they are stupid, but because they are emotionally invested in ideology that is contradicted by this fact and thus they simply do not want to accept it. They probably know they are lying to you. When you point out that it isn't comparing like with like, and is comparing say, a male brain surgeon with a female crossing guard, as if they were "the same work", if she is apologetic or angry at being deceived than she wasn't lying.

But if she just moves the goal posts and says well it's sexism that most brain surgeons are men etc etc, then she's just proved that she tried to lie to you.

Single women are 25 to 29 earn about 8 percent more than men currently. That education Gap is adding up despite them choosing some of the less lucrative professions.

Search it out. It's a humbling stat for many of those believing in a wage Gap.

So men take less time off, turn down promotions less, quit jobs less often and reduce their hours less often, and yet for some reason the feminists can't figure out why women get paid less on average? This is not discrimination, this is personal choice. The only way you can close the gap is encourage women to make the same choices as men.

Not wrong. Women are discriminating against working as many hours as men in jobs that are difficult/ dirty/ dangerous.
