I'm a guy, and when I was in middle school and high school, kids bullied me all the time. I was miserable for a long time because if it. But every time I told a teacher, they just told me to ignore it. Bullying is a huge problem, and for some people it can affect grades, but its simply insulting how this article focuses on girls. All bullying is wrong, and it should be stopped regardless of whether or not it affects grades.

Ok, this is bullshit. I was bullied throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, and I did well in all of my classes, including my English courses.

I don't think it's really highlighting female victims of bullying over male ones, it's just reporting the specific findings of the study. It never even makes any special pleas for the girls, keeps it all pretty gender-neutral. Not a good example of the usual double-standard IMO.
