It comes from a FBI statistic showing that 2-8% of all rape accusations that are taken seriously are proven to be false, while 5% are proven to be true. From the FBI source, false rapes are just as rare as genuine rapes. To examine the authenticity of the remaining 87-93%, we must turn to research. A weighted average of a dozen studies show that 1/3 of rape accusations are false. So, we ought to give as much weight to the word of an accused as we do the accuser.

I think that feminists are going to never be flexible on this point. They are going to maintain that women will not lie about rape. It doesn't matter how many women are proven to be liars.
