If I were to do it, I would start with a few feminist talking points and swing it around to the MRA side to show how it isn't a. 1-sided argument and both sides have valid points that need to be discussed

This last study is a real kicker, because of what it discovers about who is discriminating against boys.

"The researchers find therefore only two relevant factors that characterise the group that transfers more to the losing women: they are women themselves, and they are positive about gender quotas."

These are not the only studies that show persistent and systemic discrimination against boys at school. The school system fails boys repeatedly. But little is done and self-styled campaigners for "gender equality" either do little or even actively deny the problem

Boys aren't failing at school. School is failing boys.

Start with things all groups can agree on such as male suicide rates and male depression rates. Then lead into controversial areas like family court, parenting, and physical abuse. You have to draw your audience in, and use stats! Read your presentation out loud and think how could the other side disprove my point? When representing mens rights you have to be extra strong in the argument because youll be judged harder, so be strong and focus on the facts to drill it home. Best of luck.

Figure out what you're trying to accomplish first.

If the answer is to critique feminism, you should do your project on feminism instead.

If the answer is that you want to persuade people to take the MRM seriously, focus on things your audience, including the feminists, can agree on without having cognitive dissonance with their existing beliefs. Good examples of this are topics where feminists and MRAs generally agree, issues facing men that are visible in your community, and things that are new to your audience, but align with their political beliefs.

If your answer is you want to draw attention to specific issues facing men, a couple I would suggest would be the gender gaps in education and homelessness.

Gender disparities in criminal sentencing, for one. If your tutor can't deal with that, they are no good at their job IMO. Source: former sociology teacher and lecturer.

Don't try to cover the whole topic of men's rights. It's too broad.

NB you don't seem to give any indication of the level of course. High school, degree, or what?

Feminism has held a monopoly on the gender discussion in sociology for some fifty years, so you are starting with the orthodoxy that women are victims and men are privileged. Start with verifiable statistics on family law, child custody, homelessness, suicides, workplace injuries, school dropouts, college degrees, longevity, drug addiction, healthcare expenditure, pension payouts, battlefield deaths, murder victims, and incarceration rates. Compare these statistics grouped on gender to those grouped on race. Explain the Women are Wonderful Effect. Note that half the billionaire families are female and the two-to-one hiring preference for women in academic technology. Then enumerate the laws, programs, and organisations for women and question why there are none for men.

Learn the meaning of the term 'projection' and tailor your arguments accordingly....ie, frame your arguments so objection looks like weakness, selfishness, or bigotry. Make Feminism look suitable only for social rejects no sane man would interact with. Do it all as dryly and factually as possible.

Women respond to social pressure. 'Looking bad' is their biggest fear. Exploit that.

Practice your rebuttals, anticipate what sort of questions they will throw at you to derail your presentation and be ready to shut them down promptly and civilly. I abhor the whole notion that it's whoever debates the most effectively that wins the argument whether they're right or wrong, but that's the world we live in. You have the advantage since you know what's coming, they don't.
