I got smacked by a lady up the road once while I was at school. My buddies and I were walking through a plaza and I guess I was cursing loudly. This women came up to me, smacked me across the face and told me never to swear like that in public or else she would tell my grandparents I was a disrespectful little shit.

I was shocked when it happened as were my friends. I stewed the rest of the day and eventually saw her BF, who really liked my grandparents and told him about it. He told me to go with him and we walked to his place. He opens the door and starts screaming at her about not ever touching another man, and who the fuck does she think she is smacking someone else that didn't say or do anything to her, that men curse and if she doesn't like it too freaking bad, stay inside. He then said to me that if anyone, anyone, hits me I shouldn't feel bad and just plow them with the best shot I have.

She was smoken hot too from my memories and could never figure out what she saw in him, but once the law was laid down there was never a problem with her again.

I was a senior in high school. There was a big boned, freckle faced redhead who I was crushing on, but I surmised that she did not like me because I was poor. When I figured that out, I was no longer crushing on her and we had verbal disagreements. One time, she smacked me in the back of the head and my female English teacher who hated life asked me, "What did you say to Lynn to make her hit you?" I responded, "Oh, that's great! I suppose if Lynn took out a gun and shot me, the last thing I would hear as I take my last dying gasp of air would be, 'What did you say to Lynn to make her shoot you?'"

So, it ended when one day she came up behind me before class began, messed my hair up with her hand, and asked, "What? Can't you afford a haircut?" I turned and stared at her with a pause, then said, "You know Lynn, how many friends do you think you'd have if your parents didn't have the money to buy you a nice car, clothes to cover the fact that you are big boned, and make-up to hide the imperfections in your fat, freckled face?" She knew the answer because my high school was chock full of rich kids who would have judged her the way she judged me. I parked my '78 Dodge Aspen next to a Lotus driven by a student, for crying out loud. In all fairness, I was an acid tongued jerk who I might not have wanted to hang out with if I were one of those rich kids.

She cried and never messed with me again. Vero Beach High School Class of '89.

That said, my first bully was a girl.
From day one of school, she simply decided that she didn't like me (or, to hear some of the adults tell it, that she did) and would simply follow me around any time we weren't at our desks smacking me, pushing me, and generally being an abusive pain in the ass. She would tell me her dad would pay her to do these things, and basically just pick on me for being the small kid.
Unfortunately, the only frame of reference 6 year old me had for a situation like this was "Never hit a girl.", and I say unfortunately because that was the full extent to which the issue was ever handled.
When I went to the teacher, or another administrator, all they would say was "Well, we're very proud of you for not hitting her back", while taking no corrective action on this girl. When I went home and told my parents, all they would say was "Well, we're very proud of you for not hitting her back". Some members of my family even suggested I should be flattered by her behavior, since it meant she liked me and wanted my attention. If they ever did bring the issue up to the school on my behalf, which I doubt, nothing ever came of that, either. It only stopped about four years later when my parents put me in a different school.
