Did you come here just to bug people? They made this program so men could disclose "sins" and make up for misogyny. If you read about it, it's not about men's liberation, it's about shaming them and apologizing to women. What do you think happens at these confessionals when a man doesn't blame masculinity?

Those phrases you used are things you would never see here btw, in a community that's genuinely supportive (for the most part).

As far as negative aspects of feminity, here's someone's list I found after a quick google: "Negative feminine traits: Frivolousness, neediness, vanity, naivety, overly sensitive, squeamishness, prudishness, clingyness, helplessness, dependency, excessively emotional, obsessed with personal appearance, primping, lacking self-confidence, indecisiveness, excessive passivity, insecurity". And it's men who have to pick up the slack mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. I'm sure you'll just see this as misogyny, but there's ample evidence for it.

Self-hating men and social sycophants like you are the real problem with masculinity. You are the real problem facing men.

"All things men say."

A tiny fraction of stereotypical HUMANS say these things, but if you think these stereotypes are the norm for adult human behaviour, as is implied by these a-holes and their text supporting their event, you're daft. I haven't heard any of these in any serious sense since I was 12 years old and we were just working out masculinity for ourselves as kids.

Sometimes I just want to show these people real incarceration stats, because the overwhelming majority of men are out there raising kids, working, in relationships, and contributing to society, just fine. This insinuation that toxicity is everywhere, around every corner, is just bloody daft.

a) These fuckwads aren't talking about how men can be MORE than the stereotypes, or showing all the various ways they already are, and aren't talking about all the growth in male behaviour since the 1960s, or advocating diversity in approaches, ie a positive approach. They are talking about masculinity being stagnant, about all of us being sinners in some fashion, and how we have confess to those sins. Why would you support openly shaming men in this fashion for their behaviour? All those male poets, male sculptors, male artists, male dancers, male musicians, male novelists, male playwrights, male caregivers filling recorded western history with subtlety and light and you want to hang your hat on the negatives? The people with the myopic, tiny view of men are you idiots.

b) Where's the toxic femininity? Time after time, event after event, article after article, it's all about how men are the problem, men at the cause, men are the sole source, men have the issues, men are broken, men have to be fixed, masculinity has to be changed ... did half the human race suddenly become angels, without sin, all of a sudden?

I'd love to see a booth talking about toxic femininity. Sexual Assault sees FOUR TIMES the provably false claims as other violent crimes, as per the FBI? Some jurisdictions that sought to ferret out the true false accusation rates saw rates in the 30-40% range? That's INSANITY, and most definitely toxic behaviour.

So is the toxic level of ingrained dependency. EU labour force engagement figures show there's not a single EU nation where a majority of working aged women are actually working full time? JESUS TITTY FUCKING CHRIST. Over half of all adult female Europeans have someone else subsidizing their life? 1 in 5 don't work AT ALL? That's goddamn toxic, that is.

c) Ignorance and selectivity abound. These pricks are sitting in the middle of a campus made of materials mined, logged, dredged, forged, distributed, assembled, built and maintained overwhelmingly by men. They can't walk 6 fucking inches without bumping into or stepping on a man's daily work, and they are sitting there in the middle to that paean to male labour asking men to confess to their sins? Fuck you, you arrogant, insufferable, selective, manipulative pricks.

So, honestly, who do you think you're fooling? You're one of them. You just want the men in here to admit sin and get to the business of public self flagellation, because you've ingrained this notion of toxic masculinity right along with these a-holes.
