Didn't this happen in the UK a few years ago?

Feminist zealots set up a law specifically to allow women to kill their husbands and get away with it, then a couple of men use the law and they actually say on record: "that's not what the law was designed for."

Feminists tried to pass a law like that in South Aus in the 80s.

as under the current law the burden of proof remains on the prosecution to disprove the self-defence argument.

As it should. It's up to the State to prove why the individual needs to be removed from society, not up to the individual to prove their innocence.
