Regardless of how you might feel about Donald Trump, the facts are there are cracks appearing in the Washington establishment. The ideological glass ceiling on gender issues is starting to break apart and a few rays of sunlight are visible.
I strongly feel the men's movement needs to make another attempt at getting a White House council for men and boys established. To that effect I have emailed Dr. Warren Farrell, Paul Elam and Tom Golden on this matter. I have posted my letter to Dr. Warren Farrell below. No doubt I am not alone in having the utmost respect for him. The purposes of raising this issue and presenting this letter is to raise awareness and generate support and encouragement for such an initiative for the Men's Rights subreddit and to inspire others to take action.
I am not a US citizen (I am Australian), but if I were I would getting petitions started and getting in contact with Trumps staff to put this idea forward.
The link to the White House council on Men and Boys is: http://whitehouseboysmen.org/
There is a petition on it's website if you are interested: http://whitehouseboysmen.org/petition-signers
Trumps campaign is also taking suggestions: https://www.greatagain.gov/
They would be sick of me by the time I was done with them, lol. Like, share and add your comments below. The letter to Dr. Farrell is directly below. He has my full support, does he have yours for this initiative? If so then show it below.
Dear Warren,
I am writing to you to send a message on an urgent matter to encourage a further push for a White House council for men and boys. I know that in the past this has been attempted and that you were close to getting a meeting with Obama in the Oval Office. If not for gender ideologues you may have succeeded in meeting with him and we may have gotten a White House council for men and boys. Whilst on that occasion it was not successful, it should be attempted again.
I am an Australian citizen and I have been watching what has happened in the United States over the last year closely. The signs of social change have been in the air for some time and the outcome of this election was predictable. People are tired of the political correctness, hypocrisy and the silence on important issues that threaten the unfair status quo if they are acknowledged. All too often what happens in the United States, socially, economically and politically trickles down several years later to Australia and other anglo-saxon countries. So it is in my interest to see positive social change for men and boys in the United States, because I know that it will catch on in Australia.
It is my strong belief that you have a realistic chance of establishing a White House council on men and boys, now that a president has been elected from outside the Washington establishment. Donald Trump is a president elect that has drawn a path to the White House that has broken convention. He has smashed through the ideology and political correctness, that prevents so many politicians from confronting issues that the establishment want to ignore. There is no ring of ideologues around Trump yet. Trump has shown a willingness to engage alternative points of view, such as from the alternative media. Trumps interview with Infowars being one prime example of this. In my view the men’s movement is far less extreme in their views than alternative media outlets such Infowars and is far more grounded in facts and reality. So I would be shocked if Trump would not even entertain a meeting with you. Trump has embraced the counterculture during his election, which includes men’s issues and I think he understands the value of harnessing it politically.
You have a profound ability to open people’s minds to a wider perspective on men and women. Trump wants to make America great again. This is at a time when only a few years ago Hanna Rosin absurdly claimed men were obsolete. If men are obsolete, then so is the United States and civilisation which largely depend on male labour and tax revenue to exist. If Trump has common sense and is not an ideologue, then I fail to see how he can ignore the issues of the male half of the US population. He cannot separate making America great again, from addressing the plight of men and boys and expect to succeed in his mission. If you meet with Trump and he is presented with the sobering facts and statistics on men and boys in education, employment, homelessness, mental health and fatherlessness etcetera, I cannot see how he can dismiss a need for a White house council on men and boys. Trump has already shown a willingness to acknowledge and address the plight of US war veterans, most of which are men. Trump has shown a genuine concern for the blue collar male worker and their jobs in manufacturing. Given these realities, it is reasonable to expect he would might be open to addressing other issues affecting men and boys. Importantly, Trump does not show signs of falling into the trap of thinking that addressing men’s issues is a zero-sum game with women’s issues. Trump has not conformed to the unspoken absolutist rules of political correctness and ideology surrounding gender issues in his presidential race. There is a good chance that Trump does not see men’s issues as antithetical to women’s issues. That Trump can understand that the United States can address both sets of issues without conflict. Trump has shown signs he has the guts to confront the mainstream media spin head on and would have the courage to establish a White House council on men and boys.
Time is of the essence. As we have seen before, the establishment are quick to put a ring of ideologues around the Oval Office. Trump is not one of them, so they will work doubly hard to form a ring around him to shut people such as yourself off from meeting with him. It will take the ideologues in Washington some time to tie Trump down and isolate him in an ideological ring of silence. Before that happens, you have a real window of opportunity to push for a White house council on men and boys and meet with Donald Trump. You, Tom Golden, Paul Elam, the NCFM, AVFM, all need to jump at this opportunity as soon as you can. Some of you or all of you need to arrange a meeting with Donald Trump as soon as possible. This may be our last chance before the generational time bomb of ignoring men and boy’s issues can no longer be defused. If it blows up, then the United States and Western society will fall and become part of the third world. The rise and fall of the United States is closely linked to the rise and fall of men and boys. I am sure that if you meet with Trump, armed with the facts and statistics, Trump will see this link and establish a White Council for men and boys.
You have my full support and best of luck to you,
Ryan
