-The idea that rape in our society is considered to be worse or as bad as cancer or as bad having your house burned down.

Objectively speaking rape is no worse then getting stabbed or getting a black eye. There's no real reason to consider rape to be worse then any of those things. I understand that mra's are trying their best to expose that rape happens to men just as frequently as it happens to women. However rape feels like a women's issues by and large so I feel that what society is really saying when you read between the lines is that men are so filthy and disgusting so when a men simply inserts a penis unconsentually into a vagina the experience is similar to water boarding.

That is an idea that rooted in misandry of the highest calibar! I get that pointing this out is hard because its not exactly the most PC idea. In fact many people on mensrights want to expand this extremely bloated view on rape to men!...no I mean whats worse? Telling a men who has been raped that he'll basically never recover from it. Or not acknowledging it all?(I do acknowledge rape by comparing it to other forms of physical assault)

We've come back around to again to these very victorian notions that a women is damaged by sex. That a women is hurt by sex. That when a women is raped for example that her life will never be the same again. That she's ruined. They used to call it a fate worse then death. And I think that this is an instrisiticly anti-feminist view because it gives tremendous power to men
