Anyway, I don't think you are alone in this. I definitely think the SJW movement has peaked and will fall rapidly. It started off with people waking up to certain issues facing women, which were then handled with lightning speed. Then, the SJWs feared losing their victim status, so in order to hold onto it, they went crazier and crazier, spouting lie after lie.

Look at the champions of feminism and how they are caught in hypocrisy and lies. Emma Watson and her offshore accounts. Amy Schumer and her raping a drunk guy. Lena Dunham and her false accusation of Barry and her admittedly raping her 1 year old sister.

That's not to mention Mattress Girl, Jackie Coakley, and Crystal Mangum and their appalling lies.

Once you see the bullshit, what is there to cling onto in the movement?

Vilifying white men is a losing strategy. It's racist and sexist, and the people that feminism would appeal to (white, privileged women) are related to white men, are friends with white men, or are dating/married to white men.

Since college, I have very few people in my social circle that is outwardly a feminist, at least that I know of, and I lived in a very liberal city.

Of the people I talk to, the most outspoken people against feminism are women. Men are generally either oblivious to it or don't care. Women are the ones taking offense to it.

SJWs are closed-minded and hateful. That doesn't attract people to your movement. At least not people wearing jackboots.

I haven't noticed much difference, but then again I'm in an SJW capitol and I regularly brawl with anti-capitalists. It could well be you've been lucky enough to live in a pocket of resistance but I am at least seeing some fightback generally even here in the UK.

There's not enough though, until I see people openly mocking Feminists and SJWs the way people take the piss out of the religious right or I won't be satisfied.

Yes the tide is turning... we are approaching peak SJW levels. SJW activity has grown and gotten in the way of so many people that the general public is starting to take notice, and they're starting to get sick of the nonsense.

With every video like Hugh Mungus we're getting one step closer to being done with this plague of political correctness. Before long it will stop being so trendy to be an SJW and these people will find other hobbies.

I hang out (or watch) alot of socialist, communist and anarchist circles, and you are not mistaken. I am seeing people say things like "I am beginning to wonder if identity politics hampers class struggle." I am beginning to see people question if feminists are really trying to help working class people, and i am beginning to see it alot.

As far as i can tell older generations have gone through this same old song and dance several times before and the 30-40+ age ranges won't be too tolerant of even the minor radical fringes of neo-progressivism. The wider problem is that with the internet people can sink themselves into information bubbles that give the impression of being more influential than they really are ( SJWs and MRAs are no exception ).

I don't think the majority of women have ever supported modern-day feminism. Like any social movement, it's a few extremists who speak for everyone else, but they are the loud ones who have enough money and power to get their voices heard by the decision makers.

There's a possibility of that. Younger and older generations of feminists famously don't get along with each other. They have different 'Waves' because it's not a consistent movement in its rhetoric and tactics. How many middle-aged feminists from the 70s did you see in Slutwalk photos? Yeah, exactly. I think as women with feminist values get older, they find out that the movement is not all it's cracked up to be and can only have negative life outcomes. So they often either ditch the man-hating and get married and have kids or they double down (ahem, 'become more radical', as Steinem says) and end up alone and miserable, but even more extreme. You can't be a hardcore feminist and a decent mother (to boys OR girls) at the same time.

I think probably it is just that your friends aren't representative.

If you're gainfully employed in the business world, then your friends are likely to be similar. In which case you're less likely to come across many SJWs as they're largely unemployable in the private sector. A small minority of SJWs get jobs related to their topic of study, like being writers at feminist blogs or diversity officers at universities. The remainder mostly drift into entry-level government jobs, as the public service is more tolerant of their nonsense and poor work ethic than the corporate world is.

Companies will aim to filter out SJWs and other such troublemakers & time wasters during the hiring process, which is why your much less likely to meet them if you work in the private sector.

Honest to god I think it's simply because women in mid-20's, particularly those who are educated enough to even understand "SJW" rhetoric and engage see fewer dateable/marriagable/useful men around them, and it probably sort of freaks them out for the future.

This generation of women came through colleges where there were probably 2 men to every 3 women (or worse) -- it's likely they don't even get to interact with enough men to hate on them the way some of these feminists want them to.

A sizeable amount of women probably say "well, I like that one guy and he's not like that, but if I shit on men in public like these feminists do, then what if he stops thinking of me as cool? There aren't that many of him out there -- I should know, as I'm an educated Gen Y girl".

Yes, the tide is turning. Young women who have any kind of intelligence can easily see women in their thirties, who have spent most of their teens and all of their twenties living the party life, confronting the reality that not only is their prince not coming, but no one at all is coming for them.

Here's what happened -- listen, or don't.

Women were given half of the resources in society. They were actually given over half (young women make more than young men, young women go to school at greater rates, young women have more opportunities such as gender-specific scholarships/internships, etc.). We still talk as though these are not fluid statistics and as such, we will never reach the parity we already reached.

MEANWHILE, young women didn't evolve like feminists assumed they would. The young women are not looking for the androgynously-raised men as they were taught, instead, they are keeping to the old traditions and expect a masculine man who is better than them at everything. Excuses are thrown around constantly for why these women aren't accountable for their actions and the results of those actions.

They say the men aren't "datable" because the women are still expecting men to be better than them, to initiate, to basically do everything and be everything, and the men have to be masculine but not too masculine and they need to be aggressive and initiative but not too aggressive and little goldilocks here is just going to twirl her hair and complain. The women care more about men's appearances than any generation in history, the women have more sexual partners than any time in history, the women are more demanding than any time in history, less feminine, less giving, more likely to divorce, have been purposely given more resources than the men (than at any time in history), and all that happened was their complaining got louder and many, many men got thrown under the bus.

No, young women are more spoiled and have access to more resources than ever before. They seem to be doubling down on bad behavior and then blaming the men for not being something they statistically can't be because the women are ALSO pushing for conditions which are, by the very laws of physics, mutually exclusive.

Young women are shit, I want one of you to prove me wrong, but you never will. This I know.
