We all knew it was coming. Everyone who followed Ghomeshi's trial knows that the judge was 100% correct in finding the accusers dishonest. But Vox Day's second law of SJWs holds true: when confronted with proof they are wrong, they always double-down.

the judge’s statement, which reeked of victim-blaming

[Judge] Horkins noted that his verdict does not indicate that the crimes did not happen, only that he did not find proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Ghomeshi perpetrated them. Whether or not Ghomeshi is guilty, the manner in which the judge dismissed three alleged victims of sexual violence reveals the institutional biases that discourage so many women from reporting assaults.

The alleged assaults took place in 2002 and 2003, when Ghomeshi was the host of a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation show called >play. Though the alleged victims didn’t share their stories until more than a decade later, Horkins said he found it suspicious that the complainants could not offer highly detailed accounts of the incidents or offered differing accounts in separate interviews. That fact alone is not reason to be suspicious of an alleged victim’s account. Many studies have shown that survivors of sexual trauma block out the details of their assaults and frequently remember events only in broad, nonlinear strokes.

The judge also said that one alleged victim willingly saw Ghomeshi after he’d purportedly assaulted her, which called into question her claim that she’d been traumatized by his actions. This interpretation of events runs counter to what justice advocates and psychologists know about sexual abuse: A survivor’s feelings toward her abuser are often complex, and many abusers have mastered the ability to emotionally manipulate their victims.

the judge’s most repulsive statement came when he proclaimed that believing alleged sexual assault victims are telling the truth is “equally dangerous” as assuming alleged rapists are innocent.

Wow! Are we talking about the same trial here?

It pains me to read that.

Of course they did. They said they would.

The push now (especially with Canada's FGM - Feminist Government Machination) will be to "reform" the justice system, so evidence and cross-examination are not required, or are actually banned.

It would NOT be the first time... Other minority groups have found themselves in this position of having legal defences eliminated because they're unpopular.

Vice also had an outrage article.

I heard his acquittal was more to due with witnesses mixing up their testimonies (lying) than it was with their behavior post alleged rape. Is this right?

It was a combination of 4 factors: (1) inconsistencies about their accounts of what happened (mostly as to the first complainant); (2) their behavior after the alleged assaults (having further sexual involvement and trying to continue romantic relationships with him); (3) concealing these later actions from the police and investigators; and (4) appearing to collude with each other to design a set of stories that would ensure his conviction.

I am curious what your question was getting at, though. Do you not agree that their "behavior post alleged rape" is highly relevant to determining their credibility?

I heard the judges decision was based off of their poor testimony. As in, their post rape action wasn't necessary consider for the judge to find Jian not guilty.

The largest defect in their testimony was basically them saying, "I was assaulted and I never saw him or was romantically interested in him again." But then the defense pointed out many times afterwards when they did see him and pursued him romantically.

Ok thank you.

460,000 women claim they were raped

460,000 Men claim they were falsely accused

Of those, All of the women who claimed they were raped are truthful

Of those, All of the men who claimed they were falsely accused are liars except those whose accusers are convicted of falsely accusing them

Feminist logic.

Tells us a lot about Slate and the media agenda. The legal concept of innocent until proven guilty is insignificant against believing any accuser (especially women). Why should any man expect to be given the benefit if a trial first we have the media Lynch mob.

Canada and the western world in general needs to be very careful that we don't allow civil rights to be compromised on the altar of gender politics.
