We need a really good global crisis, like a plague or some shit. It's been too long since we've had one of those that wasn't shut down immediately. We need something specific though, it's gotta be advanced, that way only people who are capable of critical thinking, reason, and have some sort of worth can outlive it. You can grow crops? Useful. I have a theory. Throughout history every time the men cease doing something, women pick it up. The first gender to wear high heels were men to keep the blood of their feet when butchering animals. Also, the geisha, like from the book Memoirs of a Geisha, were not prostitutes but male entertainers. If you look at films and history of men wearing tights and war paint, we don't tend to do that anymore aside from football matches and certainly not in tights, but women do, they just call it makeup. Everything we regard as feminism is in fact masculine and women throughout the ages have worn high heels, tights and makeup to BE masculine like men. It's empowering.

We all know the history of woman being owned by men, not being allowed to work, vote, divorce and being called a witch. This has ended now and although not perfect, yet, things are getting more equal. So now that men (in the western world) have stopped being dominating and unfair, it's the women's turn. It's another movement for women to be more "masculine" and more like a "men". It's just a theory though.
