My nephew is only 2 right now, so this won't come in important for quite a few years. However, everyone in my immediate family is feminist-leaning and my dad (e. his grandfather) is extremely submissive and basically a walking doormat, which isn't something I want for my nephew.

When I say "the truth", I don't mean I want him to only have one side of the story; I want him to know that there are major inequalities in society on both sides. Above all, I just don't want him to grow up into a male feminist! As he's surrounded by feminist rhetoric, I'm concerned he's going to internalize too much of it. I'm going to make it crystal clear that I'll always be there for him, and I hope with guidance that will be enough.

Essentially, I want him to grow up into a strong, confident, emotionally secure man. I'm hoping just being a good role model for him is enough, but it'd be great to know if there are any specific things I can do for him aside from just being there. Thanks for any and all advice. :)
