Then these actual feminists (bit scotsman for me, but I'll allow it) should be advocating for men's rights, or if that's not their remit, then they should at least be shouting down the ones they think are crazies.

All they're calling for is for people to not call them the same thing, even when they are. That subreddit has shown contempt for men and Men's Rights consistently. There's a reason most people don't want to be called feminist, it's because it is synonymous with man hating most of the time. Look at all the hero's and advocates of feminism and their theories -- all based on men bad, women good. You can't stop an association in peoples minds when it's true in almost all cases.

What is actual feminism?

Does actual feminism believe that we live in a patriarchal society here in the western world? A patriarchal society that privileges men and oppresses women?

Does actual feminism believe that the Duluth model is a good tool to use in assessing a domestic violence situation?

Does actual feminism believe that the Tender Years Doctrine is a good tool in deciding what parent should get to spend time with their child?

Does actual feminism believe that "he for she" is a good slogan that will work to dismantle old gender roles?

When you choose to subscribe to a movement and an ideology you choose to wear their colors. This means that you are partly responsible for the entire image of that movement and ideology. That's the reason why I call myself an egalitarian first and an MRA second.

Feminists are happy to say that this and that feminist aren't "real feminists" or "actual feminists" but they also seem to have a bit of an issue with describing and giving examples of "actual feminists" or what "real feminism" is.

I know of only one "real feminist" and that's Cristina Hoff Sommers, which is kind of ironic in itself.

I'm not against the idea of feminism, but I'm going to criticize the reality of feminism until it actually starts to behave like it's supposed to according to itself.

I'm glad to see that there are sane feminists on /r/feminism. It really seems to be accoiciated with the radicals to me.
