How to turn your country into a totalitarian state:

generate fear (rape culture)
show up with a promise of solving the problem (destroy due process)
do it in a place where the leaders of the future concentrate (universities)
after you destroyed any legal way of anybody proving his/her innocence, show the nation the statistics what you have achieved with neglecting the presumption of innocence
convince them that this will make their life safer and better if you can apply it to less serious crimes, like murder or terrorism for example

Sounds like these college administrators are tired of seeing false rape accusations being exposed, and the falsely accused guy not being punished for a crime he never committed.

I disagree. It's not all students, only male students. I've never read that the Department of Education has ever asked colleges and universities to provide a break down by gender, which seems to be contrary to the way government treats every other instance. We want companies to provide their salary by gender, etc.

I think the DOE is expecting and counting on female students getting a pass where male students get expelled.

Does "showing sexual images without consent" also include sexting? Would this then mean that if I ask someone for nude pictures while I'm drunk and he or she sends them to me, it's illegal, because I was drunk and wasn't able to legally consent?

Secretly recording anybody in California is a misdemeanor, if they have an expectation of privacy. The one party rule does not apply in Cali.
