Have a look in two of the subreddits linked in the panel on the right. /r/mrref and /r/mensrightslinks. Both contain many links to studies, some of which you will find useful.

If you remember, let us know how you do. I suspect you will be met with a lot of opposition (variants of 'it's worse for women') and you may even find you get a lower mark than you would normally get.

Just glancing around this subreddit you will find many, many examples of men getting ridiculous jail sentences compared to women for the same crimes. I expect there will people here who will be more than happy to post up actual court cases and so on as well.

Really all you need to do to win this argument is cite all these examples, plus I believe there are also police reports floating around about the number of false accusations in their respective regions and also how many men are in jail compared to women etc. etc.

Your teacher sounds like the kind of person that would give you a bad grade for disagreeing with her.

It is pretty awesome that you think for yourself, but that virtue is not often rewarded in education. It might be easier to regurgitate your teacher's own narrative, whether you believe it or not.

If you do write a paper that attacks her narrative, make sure it is the best paper you've ever written, and be ready to contest the grade.

Focus on one very specific issue. You may be able to get the average gpa's for boys and girls at your school, and their average SAT scores, which will (probably) make a convincing argument that boys are being graded more harshly.

I think you can broach racial disparities along gender lines by focusing on the gap between white, black and Hispanic women. The fact white women face a mere 1% lifetime risk of incarceration while white men face a rate similar to black women (around 6%) would help to illustrate a counter narrative of white female privilege being the apparent across demographics subjected to criminal justice.

It's worth mentioning the racial disparities in criminal justice to avoid the appearance of agenda pushing or fear of tackling the subject. Black men's 30% lifetime rate is the highest of all groups. In challenging the "privileged white male" narrative it's important we don't turn to distort reality the way feminists do when telling the truth is sufficient.

Another useful statistic is the [risk of arrest by age 18 or 21. That disparity is fairly uniform across the races but not the sexes.

Inequality in sex crime sentencing should also be on your list with a slew of cases involving female teachers molesting underage students in the headlines. That's some low hanging fruit and again you can assert 'white female privilege' as a potential factor if you can manage to find at least anecdotal support for the claim with an example of a non white women being sentenced more harshly. That shouldn't be too hard.

Domestic violence of course is another area with several cases of women killing partners, husbands, or children and getting lenient sentencing appearing on Men's Rights in recent months. Again the most effective presentation of this is anecdotal. Actual studies would be hard to find and it's only 1500 words. Here is a old BJS (Bureau of justice statistics) Report on 'Murder in Families'. Using the term 'Family Violence' helps when looking for less biased reports. Also, on #1 "women face shorter sentences for the same crimes". I'd make a few points. 1) same crime and criminal history. Also, consider the entire pipeline: 1) likelihood of arrest, 2) likelihood of charges, 3) likelihood of deferral (like, "testify against your boyfriend and we'll suspend your sentence"), and likelihood of sentence. I think that if you add it all up it accounts for a huge bias - something like 5x - but check my stats please.

Google and get all the results for women who have sex with people under 14 and get 1 year jailtime, or even a suspended sentence.
