At least the Prof showed some integrity by apologizing directly to the photographer/s involved. That's more than you'll get from many others.

Edit : In light of information emerging from numerous articles about the issue and her response, I now say fuck her, I hope she gets the sack.

I was glad to see her actions publicized and roundly condemned. However, it really saddens me that when something like this happens the whole Internet goes crazy and seemingly the whole world wants her to lose her job. I felt the same way when Brendan Eich was forced to resign as Mozilla's CEO because he was against gay rights. Do I disagree with him? Yes. Do I want him fired just because he doesn't believe people of the same gender should be married? No.

I kinda wonder if, after the very public shaming that she received, and after having caused no harm to anyone at all, that she'd be a better teacher with a better perspective.

I want to live in a world where I can say stupid (even wrong) shit without the fear of losing my job - which BTW we do not have today.
