The top comment on that thread currently says to document everything so he can get full custody of the kid if need be.

Not for nothing, his description does say his wife had previously been diagnosed with depression and stopped taking her meds years ago. That combined with her current pregnancy is likely causing the onset of her severe and rapid personality change.

They're mostly advising him to get out AND try to get his wife some help. For his unborn child's sake, if nothing else, that seems like sound advice.
