The MRA's financial resources are miniscule
Media throws us into the same pot as Neo Nazis or White Supremacists
Empathy gap/male disposability: people simply do not care nearly as much for men as for women
We have virtually zero backing from politics and officials
Many anti-male practices are profitable for a few mighty people, for example the divorce and prison industries.

Voicing your unpopular, likely less often heard opinion actually counts as doing something. That's what's often missed in this characterization of those who just "complain online".

The passing around of ideas works in a similar fashion as going around town putting up flyers. And you can do it with much less effort.

The war of words and ideas is where movements in the seedling phase must get through first in order to have their activism be potent.
