The woman throws an iron at the guys head, it connects and causes bleeding. He smears the blood on her face and he's the bad guy! I'm so sick of this one-sided portrayal of domestic violence. The author could have easily have addressed the FACT that women are violent in relationships as well and all of it needs to stop.

DV in Canada (where this is from) has decreased 41% since 1980 (2010); that is men as inflicting it on women. We don't know what the stats are for the reverse (if someone has stats please share with me). But I really believe we are breeding a new generation of DV perpetrators - from an early age in the form of girls hitting boys. I have an 8 year old daughter and I watch tv with her and I swear the level of violence of girls hitting boys (for the sake of humor) is on the increase. Last night on one of these kids shows a boy was punched in the stomach and went falling on his back (with laugh track).... in a recent "Good Luck Charlie" episode a girl bullies and beats up a boy giving him a bloody lip and black eye (with laugh track)....even children's films like "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" depicts violence against boys with humor...like one scene where two boys are beaten up by two girls with tennis balls - ending with the obligatory scene with a ball to the groin.

How come this violence against boys isn't being called out? Where are the feminists - who purport to be about equality for all - who wouldn't bat an eye before calling a reversal of the status quo as misogyny??

Also like a lot of guys who hit their wives and girlfriends, he claims to have adored her, thought he was uncontrollably in love. “She has a light shining out of her,” he says. He still feels that way three years after they split up.

He didn’t do anything at first when she said she’d cheated on him. He just looked at her. Then she said, “Well, aren’t you going to hit me? Why don’t you hit me?” Then Jimmy said, “What do you mean, ‘Why don’t I hit you?’ ” And she said, ‘Don’t you love me?’ ”

That was his version, anyway.

These 3 paragraphs speak volumes about how bad this reporting is.

Ian Brown has to stop writing about things he does not understand or has not researched properly. He has written rubbish like this before, example being the book he tried to ride the campus rape gravy train with.

People are really well informed these days, the days of the Toronto literati making proclamations on our social condition are gone. This whole article is an amateurish joke.

interesting how the writer dismisses all the data used by MRA but accepts without question everything coming from the feminists!
