That may be because we don't put every social issue under the banner of men's rights.

Many of us (myself included) were at the Michael Brown and Eric Garner protests, and engaged in activism against police brutality and racism.

Men's rights advocate or egalitarian isn't an all-encompassing identity the way "feminist" or "christian" try to be. They are merely statements of position. I don't care about these issues because I'm an egalitarian -- I just care about them.

The Mike Brown case is not a case to plant your flag in. It's my perspective that there isn't enough evidence to say the policeman acted illegally.

Well accept we didn't drop the ball. Many MRA made great points that the media and feminism refused to run with. There are TWO forms of discrimination that these police shootings have in common. They target Blacks AND they target men. That MEN"S Rights advocates tried to focus on how these individuals where targeted and killed based on being men as the larger discrimination of being Black Men is hardly dropping the ball. It's just not race baiting and doesn't fit the narrative of 'privilege'.

Thats a weird reasoning. Because feminism is not pro mens rights it is pro paedophilia? Makes as much sense. There are better reasons to sustain why feminism is pro paedophilia.

You could argue because feminism was silent on the sectarian motivated mistreatments of women its really a thin veil over their misandric agenda.

It is irrelevant. Michael Brown would have been in the same situation if he was white, and probably even if he was a woman. It wasn't symptomatic of racism - rather the media latching on to it far more than they would have if it was a white person was symptomatic of racism. A university worker saying 'everyone's lives matter' were shouted down and made to apologize by her university's students who preferred the slogan 'black lives matter'.

It's a controversial topic that keeps being brought up here, but never gains much traction because the case itself is not as simple as many like to make out, and many people don't believe it to be a sign of any discrimination.

Anyway, even if it was a sign of racism, that should be discussed elsewhere as this sub is a place to discuss sexism, not racism unless it is somehow relevant - which this isn't. It just doesn't have anything to do with men's rights. That anonymous comment is an attempt to attack men's rights for not jumping on the bandwagon of 'anti-racism' activism. It's equivalent to someone attacking an animal rights group for not advocating abortion rights.

And please do some research into the facts of the Michael Brown case.

Question for the forum: do police "lynch" black men, as the imgur post says? I thought lynching required like, um, rope, and that you hung people with it via a tree. I thought that kind of voilence went out of style with the KKK.
