You should probably tell him he's using "humanist" incorrectly, unless he means that he prefers critical thinking and evidence over faith and doctrine.

You know, I knew the definition of humanist, but for some reason it didn't "click" with me that it's actually a pretty good label even if the people using it mean egalitarian, feminism is nothing if not faith and dogma
